The Six Beasts had eaten their fill before setting off, so they were not hungry yet and found chewing on some dried meat to be quite pleasant during their idle moments. There were many small animals fleeing in the surrounding forest, but as the area fell within Bao Hua Temple's domain, some level of restraint was due, and even if starving, they would not kill any living creature here.
An hour later, everyone had recovered, including Cui Qingrou, who had regained much of her strength. After gathering their belongings, they continued their journey towards Bao Hua Temple.
However, as they progressed, the mountains became steeper and the climb more strenuous. They rested three times along the way, only reaching Bao Hua Temple near the end of the evening.
