Watching the two little novice monks carrying the food boxes, the Mo Family thought they were going down the mountain and gave them a glance before looking away. Unexpectedly, the two little novice monks walked straight into the pavilion, performed a one-handed salute to the Mo Family, and one of them said, "Under the abbot's orders, we bring vegetarian meals for the benefactors."
As they spoke, they placed the two food boxes on the stone table and lifted the lids, layer by layer revealing the food inside.
Since the weather had cooled down significantly, and it took a long time to walk from Bao Hua Temple to this place, presumably worried that the food might get cold, they had thoughtfully placed a layer of cotton padding in the food boxes, so the food was still warm when taken out.
