Muniang was somewhat troubled when Erliang whispered in her ear, "Should I try drinking a little?"
"Ah, today I finally see," someone teased, "this renowned tiger-hunting hero, why does he take his wife's words so seriously?"
The crowd clearly was making fun of Erliang for asking Muniang's opinion, but Erliang showed no shame whatsoever, "Of course! My wife's words are heavier than an imperial edict!"
The crowd was stunned for a moment, then burst into hearty laughter. Muniang's cheeks reddened and she elbowed Erliang, "Make your own decision, stop asking me all the time!" There was a hint of coquettish annoyance in her tone.
Erliang chuckled, "Then I'll drink."
Having said that, he tilted his head back and gulped down a bowl, not hesitating at all.
"Good!" everyone cried out in unison.
