"What are you thinking about?" Xiaotian asked Liuliu, who was deep in thoughts. He had been observing her face intently as it alternated between wrinkling and relaxing. He wasn't sure if she were thinking about the incident at the ancestral gravesite. Ever since that day, Liuliu had started behaving differently towards him. Her once vibrant affection had evaporated; nearly indistinguishable now. Had he not witnessed her heartfelt affection for his family, he would wonder if she was still his wife.
"Xiaotian, Wan Qing truly cares for you," she began, "She's even willing to forsake a formal title to take care of you. Reflecting on it, you took care of her for so many years. I can imagine the depth of your bond. Perhaps, you should take her in as your wife? I won't cause her any trouble."
