Clare finishes preparing the Empresses' bath and helps her with picking out what she's to wear when she comes out of the bath. Kira undresses completely and gets into the bathtub. "Cold, just like I love it." She thinks to herself when she gets into the tub and the coolness of the water welcomes her. She spends sometime in the tub just thinking about her life and how she even ended up being the Dark lord's daughter. Something about it doesn't seem right but then again, he raised her all her life when her family abandoned her.
After what feels like forever to Clare, the Empress comes out of the bathroom with her bathrobe perfectly worn on her body. "Finally." Clare says with a deep sigh. "What was that?' Kira asks. "Nothing." "Who likes cold bathes anyways?" Clare responds but mumbles the later part to herself. "Better." Kira says while walking towards her bed where her clothes are neatly laid. "Oh and …. I like cold baths." Kira says while stopping but continues walking after she speaks. Clare stands dumbfounded and surprised. 'She heard me' She thinks to herself. "And yes, I heard you." Kira says almost as if she heard Clare's thoughts. Clare is even more dumbfounded. Is she in my head? Can she read my mind? This are the thoughts going through Clare's head.
"I'm not in your head and no, I can't read your mind." Kira says while standing in front of a mirror. "What? Again what?" Clare exclaims even more surprised and a little freaked out. "Oh, I said I didn't read your mind." Kira repeats. "That's not what I meant. I meant what as in what the heck?" Clare says wide eyed and the shock still evident in her voice. Kira just looks at her and shrugs. "And you say you didn't read my mind?" Kira asks still unsure. "No, I didn't. I am the Empress, seems like you forgot that." Kira says looking at Clare with cold emotionless eyes which make her shiver and regain the proper posture of which she was supposed to be standing in her presence initially. "Plus, I wouldn't waste such good magic on you." Kira says bluntly without giving a care of the feelings of the person whom she is talking to. Clare just stands there holding in her anger, taking in deep breathes and letting them out.
When Kira finishes up with her dressing which include a black turtleneck and a black jogger which has red lining on both sides of the trouser with a red and black combat boot, then she tops it all up with her black and red coat. "You've got good taste when it comes to dressing, I'll give you that." Kira says looking at herself in the mirror. "Since I've done what you brought me here for, can I leave, or do you still need me?" Clare asks. Kira sighs and turns to look at Clare. "How's she?" "Huh?" Clare says. "The little girl?" Kira adds. Clare is lost for a moment then she remembers. "Oh, you mean Pious, I don't know, I suppose she feels the way a little girl who had her family ripped from her and then burned alive feels." Clare says, spitting out the word like they are venom in her mouth. The anger and hate she feels towards Kira doubling. "How? Huh. How do you do it. How do you bring yourself to kill people? How did you bring yourself to murder those people? You burnt them alive. My father, Pious' parents and a whole other people. How?" At this point Clare is at the verge of tears, but she holds it in. Kira looks at her with her face as cold as it could get, not a single emotion can be seen on her face or in her eyes, no pain, no regret, no remorse, nothing, Clare was starting to wonder if the lady standing in front of her, was even human. "It's what I do. I kill people. You're lucky I let you live and I suggest you keep your mouth shut and speak to me the way you're supposed to if you do not want to lose that life." Kira says bluntly. "Your services are no longer needed. Leave." She tells Clare who shakes her head and leaves the room with her blood boiling.
In the quarter below that of the Empress, there's a strange face which isn't so strange, just one that hasn't been seen for a long time. Everyone is shocked and surprised to see the person after such a long time, his presence erupts whispers among the indwellers of the castle, people wondering what he was doing here after all this time but none of this surpasses their worry, the main thing they are worried about, what the Empress will do the moment she finds out that this person is in the castle. It's going to be one heck of a day.
"Ahhhh… feels good to be back" This person says.
