Chapter 3 - The unexpected fate after the storm

He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards my room, tossing me onto my tattered bed. my wolf wailed in agony at his rejection and attempts to rape me."How about we begin right now, my ex mate," he suggested with a lecherous smile."No, you can't..." I began, but a hard slap struck my right cheek as he silenced me for protesting."You bitch, how dare you refused me. I'm offering something you'll never get, even if you begged for it, and you're acting like a timid little pussy here," He yelled at me and ripped my dress off.My eyes widened, and everything turned blurry as my own tears obscured my vision. The same feeling I experienced when he first touched me resurfaced, and I felt nauseous."Disgusting! How dare you vomit on me, you little wench," he exclaimed and began to slap me repeatedly, strangling and hurling me across the room.Blood gushed out from my mouth, and the pain coursing through my entire body was more agonizing than the rejection.I wasn't sure what had happened when I lost consciousness; all I could recall was waking up in excruciating pain. As a pounding headache gripped me, I murmured, "He might have left when I passed out," noticing that he hadn't sexually assaulted me while I was unconscious.but I recalled his las words: "I will return, and this time I will break that stupid virginity of your. I will fuck your brain out"

I then recalled that I was supposed to cook the meatballs. I sprinted to the kitchen at full speed, but found it empty."They might be in the celebration hall at the pack house," my wolf whispered to me.

"Are you okay, Lily?" I asked my wolf.

"No, I'm not. Can we go to the celebration hall?"

"No, we can't. If the Alpha sees us there, we are doomed," I tried to explain to my wolf.

"Please, Ava, just a look and we will be back."

"Can we not go? We can use this opportunity to run away," I asked in a pleading tone, but she didn't respond and just retreated back to my head. I sighed and considered running into the woods, but I shook my head against it and went down the path that leads to the pack house.

"Thank you, Ava," my wolf whispered, and I nodded.Despite the chaos in my heart over going to the pack house, I made the effort for my wolf. She was broken, and I couldn't bear to hurt her feelings, especially since this was the first thing she had asked of me.

Upon arriving at the pack house, I was astonished by its beauty. The ladies were adorned in stunning gowns, and the men looked dapper in formal attire. I was impressed and found myself excited to explore.

"See, isn't it fun?" my wolf remarked.

"Yeah, sure," I replied eagerly, wandering around instead of hiding.

"Ouch," I bumped into someone and fell. The room fell silent, and as I looked up, I met the angry face of Alpha Maximus Darkwood. My face paled, realizing this could be my last day. "You lowly witch, how dare…" He stopped when a heavy footstep sounded in the room. All eyes turned to the person at the door, while I sat there dumbfounded, still in shock. My heart was in turmoil. I knew then that I wouldn't survive this time. My senses returned when everything fell quiet, as if we were in a mortuary. Still on the floor, I turned my gaze to where everyone was looking and saw two tall and handsome men whom I had never seen before. I looked up and met pure blue eyes, and my heart skipped a beat when I uttered the word I never thought I would experience again: "MATE."

"MATE," the handsome man declared dominantly. Everyone gasped loudly.

At that moment, the most delightful scent reached my senses. The scent of morning coffee mingled with tobacco drifted into my nose. Another enticing blend of mint and tobacco filled my nostrils. I turned my gaze to the other man who bore a striking resemblance to the first one. "Mate," this time both of us said in unison.

I rose to my feet and looked at both handsome, towering figures, whose initially cold expressions softened as our eyes met. As I moved towards them, a memory of the smile Jackson had given me earlier in the day flashed in my mind, causing my heart to race. What if they rejected me, a mere omega, the weaker wolf in the werewolf community, mated to the two most formidable and powerful werewolves in the entire world?.

They all began to approach me, and my heart sank as I anticipated their intentions. I couldn't bear another rejection. I didn't think I could survive yet another rejection. Three rejections in one day was too much. No, I couldn't allow it. With determination, I swiftly passed them and fled from the pack house to my room. There, I curled up and wept until sleep overtook me.

When I attempted to open my eyes, the bright light in the room stung my eyes and caused me discomfort. After a second attempt, I managed to gaze around and realized I was not in my own room but in the pack infirmary. As I tried to sit up, a pair of hands gently touched my head. "Don't sit up, rest for a while and I'll bring you some food," advised an elderly woman seated beside me. I nodded and reclined on the bed while she made it more comfortable for me before leaving the room. Before long, the kind woman returned with a tray laden with an assortment of food. My stomach grumbled loudly at the well-seasoned steak, the creamy risotto and the sweet creamy tiramisu. A flush of embarrassment spread across my face at my growling stomach. "It's okay, there's no need to feel embarrassed," reassured the elderly woman, who I suspected was not from this pack. I nodded as she set up a small table before me. she then helped me sit up "Thank you," I expressed genuinely, even though I believed it might be the last time I would enjoy such delectable and appetizing food.

"You're welcome, Luna," she replied, and I almost bit my tongue, but I kept eating like I didn't hear her calling me Luna. "The Alphas will be here to check on you; they have been staying with you for three days," she said, looking at me. My heart sank when I though of how angry they Alphas will be for having to stay in this pack and rejected me before they can go. "So you mean I've been unconscious for the last three days?" I asked, forgetting the first part of it. "Yes, the Alphas found you unconscious and immediately sent you here, and I helped look at you thoroughly," she replied excitedly, and a small smile spread across my face.
