Inside Nerd's broad office, a muscular man with a dark shade could be seen sitting opposite Nerd. Snake tattoos were drawn on his neck.
"I've given you a part of the deal. You will pay me $900 million dollars, then I'll consider it," said the muscular man.
Nerd adjusted his lens and moved his neck at a 90-degree angle to look at the black suit bodyguard behind him. He could tell the bodyguard was also shocked.
"It doesn't work like that. Freelancers are hard to come by these days... I need your full cooperation if we're to win this war," Nerd voiced calmly with his stern look.
The muscular man pfft", and stood up from the black couch. He dropped the cup he held on the table, walked towards the door, and commented.
"Thanks for the tea."
Nerd sighed as Flash walked out. There were only eight freelancers on the southern side of the demon castle, and Flash was one of them. Nerd and Aisha were also one of them.
"Flash, all he thinks about nowadays is money, Alfred."
The bodyguard beside Nerd walked forward before Nerd could say something. He felt a wave of energy and then noise coming outside his office.
All the female gazes and attention were locked on the slender but muscular figure adorned in black clothing and a neat hairstyle.
"My demon god, I never knew someone like this existed in the south demon castle," said a female, acting as if she was craving Cyrus.
It was Cyrus. His rizz was causing a cacophony within this part of the building. However, that wasn't all. Cyrus was in a standoff with Flash.
The muscular guy was looking at Cy from the top because he was a bit bigger and muscular compared to Cyrus. "Sup, breast king," muttered Flash with a dark grin.
Cyrus ignored him with a smirk and walked just three steps past him but stopped when Flash said past his limits.
"So you're still the weak coward from before, running away from a fight."
Cy portrayed the facade of let's go round. He could tell that was exactly what Flash wanted, only from how Flash was looking at him alone with a devious, just sinister grin.
"Whoever that handsome man is, he's got guts going toe to toe with a freelancer, with that freelancer."
"I don't think he knows who he's in a standoff with."
If it wasn't for Nerd, Cy and Flash would have destroyed the entire building.
"Not in my building, Cyrus. I need your help in my office."
With the arrival of Nerd, the workers acted as if they weren't sticking their noses in businesses that weren't theirs, Flash smirked, and walked out of them.
While Cyrus followed Nerd behind.
"I see you're still having trouble from high school bullies," said Nerd with a sarcastic tone.
They both had their seats. Cy let all that hate he felt just now die. He was here now, so time for the first question.
"Hey, how did you get so rich in less than three months," asked Cyrus.
"Well, the castle isn't civilized in technology like we are. All I did was introduce our style of clothing, cars, weapons, and some other things I can't say right now."
"Cool but we never finished high school. How did you? Plus? Where did you learn how to create weapons and cars?"
Nerd smiled and tapped the tip of his lens. He shared his smile with Cyrus and answered. "It's my ability. I'm super-intelligent."
Cy was impressed, utterly speechless because just few months ago technology never existed, and now Nerd brought it up as if he invented it like some tony stark or Bruce Wayne.
"So tell me, Cy, are you perhaps a freelancer?"
"Uh? Nah, I got a job advancement two days ago, advanced from hunter to boss."
Nerd placed his hands under his gut and scattered his eyes around as if looking for something. 'He's not a freelancer, but he's my last shot,' thought Nerd.
Abruptly, an elf demon with red hair similar to Iris' walked in from the shadows, adorned in black battle armor. Cy was a bit shocked because in his days here he hadn't seen an elf demon.
"Uh Nerd, who is she?", asked Cyrus as his eyes danced around the seductive demon beside Nerd.
Nerd simply did not answer him, the cute elf demon was still quiet too, causing Cyrus to glance at her more than once. For the second time, his eyes widened.

"What the hell... she's, she's..."
"Demon Barnas' Daughter," Nerd completed.
Although this wasn't Barnas, Cyrus was more than happy to see a juicy clue such as this one. With her here, all she had to do was lead him to Barnas.
"She needs help to retrieve a stolen item, her clan was raided, and she managed to escape to this side of the demon castle"
Cy dropped a glance at the girl again and, like before, she was just facing down. He stared at Nerd and completed the deal.
"So let me guess, you want me to help her get back the item?" said Cyrus.
"Yes, get it back, and she'll cooperate, you'll get paid before you're done with the task."
Honestly, Cyrus wasn't elevated because of the money, it was simply because his hands were itching to kill something strong because he couldn't wait to devour a good stat.
"There will be six A-rank skill users from my association who will be accompanying you on the task."
Cy's eyebrows raised. "No, I'll be doing this alone with just her."
His statement caused the girl to finally look at him with a flared expression.
"You want to take on an army with just her?" asked Nerd.
"Yeah, that's the deal I'm making. No second thoughts."
Cy's facade did not alter from the cold look he was giving Nerd and the rich one hoped Cyrus knew what he was saying.
An army with just a girl and Cyrus. How absurd.
