Five hundred years ago, In the Ostadt Kingdom where people live a normal life. Suddenly everything changes when the Demon Armies appear out of nowhere and launch an attack on Ostadt Kingdom. But a Great Seer from the Ostadt Kingdom foresees a hero who will emerge and end this war. That the Hero will be born in Heis village, since the word of prophecy from the great Seer. Heis village had been put under great protection until the Hero emerged, and Heis village was set as a village where young warriors were trained to join the royal army. Five hundred years after the prophecy read by the great seer, still haven't seen a single Hero emerge.
At the current time, where the village is holding an annual Warrior parring which will be sent to the capital to join the royal army. In the sparring arena, where there is a full crowd of people watching. Village chief stands at the podium "Here I shall announce the final trial for the Next Royal Army Selection. Hereby I announce the contenders. LUCAS BRIGHT!!!" Lucas started walking into the arena and raised his sword, the crowd started cheering. Standing in front of Lucas is another candidate that he has to beat to pass the trial. Village Head then shouts "BEGINN!!" Lucas and the other candidate launch towards each other.
The other candidate immediately swung the sword towards Lucas's head, Lucas saw it coming and parried it away. After the parry, the other candidate loses his balance. Lucas sees it as an opportunity and strikes back. The other candidate tries to fight back, by keeping his composure and blocking Lucas's strike. Lucas and the other candidate each fall back, and both keep the striking stance. Both know this last move will determine the result of the battle. Lucas chanted "With the blessing of the mana, please grant me the strength to overcome this challenge." and the sword started glowing. But the other side also uses some Enchantment and the sword is covered in flames. Both without hesitation launch toward each other, and when both swords touch. it created a flash of blinding light, and the spectator and village chief were blinded by the light. Village Chief "What just happened" and slowly opened his eyes, and saw that the other candidate's sword was broken. While Lucas points the sword at the other candidate, Village Chief "WE HAVE THE WINNER!! LUCAS BRIGHT!!!" and the crowd starts cheering.
After the Ceremonial event, Lucas was invited to the Village Chief's house. After arriving at Village Chief's house, "Welcome Lucas, congratulations on your trial." Said the Village Chief. Lucas kneeled down "It's my honor to finally able to serve this kingdom." said Lucas. Village Chief walks towards Lucas "Raise, my child" Lucas stands up, "We have a special guest coming today, too congratulate you" said the village chief. "Special guest?" Lucas was confused with a bit of curiosity, about who the special guest might be. The village chief raised both of his hands "Please welcome our special guest" Lucas then looked towards the door. When the figure walks through the door, the figure is a woman with long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a staff. Lucas was shocked and immediately kneeled down "It's Such an honor, to meet one of the Five Heavenly Commanders of the Ostadt Kingdom. Commander Cornellia Runedellia!!"
"No need for such formalities, we're almost the same age after all," Cornellia replies.
Lucas raises up "Pardon for asking, but on what occasion that need Ms. Runedellia personally to come to this village?"
Village Chief replies "Ms. Runedellia, had been tasked to escort this year's candidate to the royal capital."
Cornellia "Just like the village chief says, and it's been a while seems I came back to this village." She smiles back at both the village chief and Lucas.
"Pardon me, if may I. Because I need to revisit a few places. Don't worry, I will be back before the after-parties" Cornellia asks politely.
"no worries, don't know since when you revisit this village. it must be many things you want to do." The village chief replies while escorting Cornellia out. Lucas still awed by what he just saw, after escorting the village chief comes back to the room.
"Was Ms. Runedellia originate from this village too?" asked Lucas.
"Yes, Indeed" the village chief nodded and replied.
"But, how come I never seen or heard about her before?" Lucas curiously asked.
"She was special, she was sent to the royal capital at a very young age. Because of her potential of becoming the next hero, her whole existential was kept secret. not many villagers know about her also." Village chief replies.
[Lucas while nodding] "So that's why"
"Now, Enough talking. the whole village is waiting for you in the hall. let's not keep them waiting." said the village chief and then escorted Lucas out. They arrive at the village hall, where every villager is cheering, lively music, and having a dance. The Villager and Lucas seem to have so much fun. "EVERYBODY RAISE YOUR DRINK, AND GIVE LUCAS BRIGHT A TOAST!!" said the village chief while holding up his drink, then everybody started to raise their drinks and started cheering. Lucas also raises his drinks "Thank you for everyone Supp-" Lucas's speech was cut off, by a loud explosion sound. There was a cloud of smoke coming from the east side of the village, everybody started murmuring about what just happened. "Everybody calm down!!" said the village chief, one of the villagers pointing to the sky "Look up there!!" Everybody looks towards the sky and cannot believe what they saw. The barrier is crumbling, "what in the world just happened" the Village chief is in disbelief.
One of the villagers screams, and a few skeleton armies show up in front of the villagers and start attacking. Lucas quickly drew his sword and took down one of the Skeleton armies "Everybody stands back!!" and started attacking other Skeleton armies. After taking down a few, the skeleton armies kept coming "There's no end of it" said Lucas, but he heard a horse sound. Runedellia armies started coming in, and fighting the skeleton armies. "LUCAS!!" suddenly the village chief shouted Lucas's name, Lucas thought the village chief was in trouble and immediately rushed to his place. When Lucas arrived and barged in "Village chief are you okay?!" everybody seemed to preparing something.
Lucas [confused] "what-"
The village chief grabs Lucas "Come, we don't have much time. Stand right there for me boy"
Lucas still confused "What are you doing?"
"we're sending you to the royal capital right now" the Village chief replies.
"But, what about the village?! I'm not abandoning the village." Lucas asked furiously.
"The village is gone Lucas, Ms. Runedellia, and the others are fighting in the front line. Now is our only chance." Village chief replies.
"Then let me join them," said Lucas walking to the door.
Village Chief grabs Lucas's arm "Lucas Please, this is not about this Village anymore. This is about this world, you're the only hope this world has. So please." Lucas clenched his fist and accepted his fate. He stands in the middle of the room. One of the Runedellia army took out a scroll and started casting it. Lucas can only cry when he hears the sound of the screaming villagers. The teleport scrolls finally cast and safely sent Lucas to the royal capital.
Heis Village didn't survive the attacks, and had been confirmed that there was no other survivor from the village except Lucas Bright. Now the Village has been fully under demon army control. Even though Commander Cornellia Runedellia fell in the battle of protecting the village, Commander Cornellia Runedellia still has been deemed as the traitor of the Ostadt Kingdom, due to the belief that she was one of the Everlast group members who might be responsible for the fall of the Heis Village.
Ten years have passed since the Heis Village incidents, at the Ostadt Kingdom Royal Court. King Ostadt the IV "Lucas bright, I hereby ask you to command an army to take back the Heis Village." Lucas while Kneeling down "With Honors, My King" Lucas replies with confidence.
