Waking up instantly, she looked up and was surprised.
"This is the height of it." she spat immediately. Liam dust feel like answering her. Immediately, he stood up and walked into the bathroom, freshened up and moved into his office for the day's work.
Thelma was in the room all alone, sitting down and going through a magazine she would shoot for in a few days time when her phone rang.
When she saw that it was her manager calling, she picked it up without hesitation.
"Hey!" she greeted.
"Hi Thelma! Hope you slept well?"
"And how does that matter right now? Tell me what's going on."
"I had just call to check up on you and to let you know that Lily has not called to check up on you as usual. Do you intend to call and speak with her instead?"
"Forget her then. I don't care." Thelma replied and ended the call immediately.
It was already 10am that morning when Anita appeared at Olympic Estate to pick up her artist.
When she got to the door, she spotted Anita going through Pink Magazine previous published magazines.
"It's not so hard you know." Anita said from behind.
"Oh! You are here." Lily replied surprised.
"Yes, I came to pick you up earlier is we can get there on time just in case we meet traffic on the way."
"Yes, that's very true. I'm ready. I was going through this magazine to catch some inspirations."
"That's a good idea too." Anita said and looked around the large and luxurious sitting room. "Are you the one home at the moment?" she asked even as she knew it was normal here, because Master Chris was an extremely busy man.
"Yeah, I'm alone right now. Chris left for work." she replied.
"Oh wow!" she exclaimed as she looked Lily up and down.
Lily turned and noticed the stare as she blushed. "Cone in Anita, nothing happened." she said as she covered her cheeks that had already turned red.
"Nothing happened? But that not true." Anita refused to believe that statement.
"Nothing happened. I had literally slept off." Lily said aloud, unknowingly exposing herself.
Anita then bursted out laughing.
"What??" Anita said aloud, she could not believe Lily could be so naive.
"Alright, we should get to work." Lily then said as she stood up. She had never been comfortable with these kinds of conversation.
Anita understood, so she quickly picked up things Lily needed and they left for the photo shoot.
When they got to the set, Lily went into the arranged dressing room to get set when she met a look alike model.
"What the hell is going on here?" Lily asked as she looked at the makeup artist that was attending to her.
"I'm sorry ma'am, she is the chosen one for this shoot." she makeup artist replied as she hurriedly turned to polish the model.
Lily froze.
Chosen one?
This is meant to be a joke. A real one at that.
She then walked our of the room.
"What's up? Why aren't you dressed?" Anita asked impatiently when she spotted Lily coming out.
"Why should I be here in the first place if I knew I had been replaced?" Lily spat, pissed.
"What?? Replaced??" Anita questioned in shock.
Without uttering another word, she dashed to the director to question the magazine's integrity.
"I'm so sorry manager Anita, but Lily is the right model for the shoot that will be taking place at the beach by noon. The other model is here for something else." The director explained, clearing the doubts. Turns out Lily had entered the wrong room.
Not long after, Lily was set as they moved towards the beach to start the shoot.
Lily was through the salty sand close to the water while the camera man took pictures.
She then laid on the salty sand close to the water with the customs on her like a mermaid, creating a beautiful vibe.
The photographer and people in the set were so impressed by her scenic poses.
Soon, they were done, so Lily changed and put on thick clothes to prevent cold.
"We should leave now." Anita suggested. Looking at her watch, it was already 5 pm.
"Yes, we should." Lily agreed. They then got into the car and drove off.
"Where do we go from here?" Anita asked.
"Home of course! Do you have anywhere in mind?"
"Not really."
"Then come have dinner with me." Lily suggested.
Anita froze.
"Dinner?" she managed to say.
"Yes dinner. To be honest, I don't see Chris as a bad person. If he was, he would not have saved my precious life. I'm starting to feel really comfortable with him." Lily said, looking outside if the window as Anita drove the car.
"That's great to hear." Anita smiled and replied.
"Can you believe this? Chris didn't touch me last night. Even as I slept off out of exhaustion, he didn't bother me." she said as she looked at Anita. It was at this moment she felt comfortable to speak out so she couldn't let it slide by.
Anita was more than a manager to her and she was all she could rely on.
Surprised, Anita turned her head as she gazed at her friend and artist.
"Really??" she asked.
"Yes!" Lily confirmed.
"And that's what is called respect. This is a good sign Lily. Lily, you are indeed a lucky woman. In actual fact, you probably had saved the whole universe in your previous life to have been able to meet a man like Master Chris." Anita said to her.
"Thank you Anita, for everything." Lily said emotionally.
"Come on now, don't start. Have you been online on the internet for the past two days?" Anita said, changing the topic.
"Nope."
"No?? Really???"
"I haven't really. Like I don't care."
"Well I guess you need to do that later."
"What's special about it?"
"So many things. The internet is on fire. Your fans are roasting a certain people."
