"RUUUUN! IT'S HIM!", the slave trader screamed as he pelted down the hall, his feet dragging on the rusted steel floors.
"Where do you think you're going?"
*gurgles*
"God... help... me..."
Arthur had grasped the runner from behind, clamping hard on his wind pipe.
"God doesn't help people like you. He sends me instead."
*crack*
The walls of the holding room were rusted and dirty, fecal matter plastered the floors and it was obvious no one had cleaned it in ages. A singular lonely roof light hung in the centre, giving meagre radiance to the surroundings.
"Help us, please!"
The people in the cages started calling out to Arthur, please of desperation erupted from all around him, he walked over to one cage in the corner of the room. It was filthy, the people inside were clearly ill and injured, some even on deaths door, and in the corner of the cage, just out of view, a baby's voice could be heard crying and wheezing.
"Hold on for a moment, I'm just undoing the lock."
Just as Arthur reached out to unlock the cage, he felt a presence to his left, but before he could react a hand was placed on his shoulder.
"Garden of Eden."
Arthur slowly blinked awake, the bright sun shining down on him made it hard to open his eyes. When he finally managed to get his eyes open, he stood up and collected himself, examining his surroundings.
Arthur found himself in what appeared to be an exotic jungle, birds of colour flew over head and the canopy of the colossal trees in the distance put the skyscrapers of London to shame. He was on a flat clearing just outside the jungle brush, green grass softly grazing his legs.
"Oh my! Sleeping beauty awakens!"
About ten meters away from him, Arthur spotted a man sitting cross legged in the grass, making daisy chains. He wore a floral shirt with floral shorts and had long black hair reaching just below his shoulders, he had sharp features and deep green eyes.
"Who are you? Where am I?"
"My name is Adam."
The man stands up and brushes himself off before pointing to a large tree in the distance.
"Over there would be Eve, she's responsible for the world you're seeing right now, it's her Soul!"
The tree was humongous, branches the size of football stadiums spun out from its side and its peak pierced the sky.
"The tree?" Arthur asked.
"Nope! Look closer, to the centre..."
As Arthur peered at the tree studying its features, he spotted a small red capsule in the middle of its trunk, which upon further examination revealed to house a small woman inside it.
"We can't leave here until she says so, or until she dies."
"What do you want with me?" Arthur said, his guard was fully up and he took a defensive posture readying himself for an attack.
Adam tilted his head to the side inquisitorially.
"Isn't it obvious? You're targeting Margas employees and halting business transactions... it was only matter of time before Margas would send a Shield to stop you."
Arthur's eyes jolted wide.
"A Shield?! If he's as strong as Julian was I'm going to die!" Arthur thought.
"Oh don't worry, I'm the only Shield here, Eve is merely an accomplice."
Arthur took a moment to collect himself, right now he was in enemy territory, he was playing a battle of unknowns and danger, he didn't yet know the rules of this world or the Soul of his enemy... however, he had to win!
"Let me make one thing clear... I'm not dying today, so you can take your Garden of Eden bullshit..."
Arthur pointed his finger straight at Adam.
"And shove it up your ass!"
