"Hah! Hah! Hah!"
A young man with hair the color of a tangerine and eyes as blue as a summer sky perched atop a boulder, gasping for breath. His fingers were wrapped like iron bands around the shaft of the blue spear he held. Below him lay a grotesque tableau - a group of corpses splayed out in various positions, their contorted expressions a testament to the brutal torment they'd endured at the young man's hands. The metallic tang of blood hung heavy in the air, a sickening counterpoint to the chirping of unseen birds.
"Seth!" a voice called out, snapping him from his reverie. The young man whirled around to see a girl with hair the same fiery hue as his own, racing towards him. Her eyes, too, mirrored the calm blue of his, but her complexion was unsettlingly pale, devoid of any hint of healthy color. She wore a faded blue dress that hung limply on her skeletal frame, each ragged breath a visible struggle against her weakening body.
