Chapter 20 - Chapter-20

She opened the door, pushing it forward, and it scared the shit out of me. It looked like I was done for today. "Oh, holy lord, just this once, save me," I whispered to myself. She looked around at the milk spilled on the floor. "Uff, it must have been a cat. What a naughty cat to spill all the milk," she said. I sighed in relief. "Thank God," I silently whispered to myself.

I was about to leave when she called out, "Young master, I know why you're here." I was shocked, as if I had been caught. Torn between confronting her or coming up with an explanation, I was relieved when she said, "You came for this ice cream, right? I knew it because you used to do this even as a child." She smiled at me.

"Fuck," I thought. "She nearly caught me. I didn't even commit a big crime, but it scared the shit out of me."

"Take this, Master. I heard you used to sneak in during your childhood to eat ice cream, so I prepared it in advance." It was fragrant and cold. I tried one; it was too tasty. It had the cool, sweet flavor of vanilla and chocolate with chocolate chips that just melted in my mouth. In no time, I finished them all. Then I remembered something, "Oh, shit! I ate the whole thing. What about them?" I whispered to myself.

"Can you make something? I think this is not enough for me," I said. She was a nice person. She cooked so many things. I didn't know who she was, but I thought I should at least ask for her name.

"Excuse me, what did I used to call you when I was a kid?" I asked indirectly, trying to learn her name without arousing suspicion that I wasn't the same person she thought I was.

"My name is Marie. I don't think you knew me when you were a kid, but I've been watching since you were born," she replied.

If Marie had been watching over me since birth, she must be quite old. I thought I might be able to get some information from her. But then, why didn't she help Arnold if she cared about him so much? Humans are very complicated; they're too complicated to understand.

She took the food to my room, and I brought the poppy with me when she left.

"Contractor, this is my first meal after death. No one even offered me food, and until someone offers me some, I can't eat," Raven said happily, eyeing the food and the poppy.

The next morning, I did some cultivation training. I needed to control my divine power, so I practiced controlling my breath. If I could control my breath, then I could control my energy. This human body holds supernatural powers, and if we know the proper methods to cultivate them, we can use them. The first step is to sit in a proper and comfortable position. Then, you should either close your eyes or keep them open, or you can half-open them, but it would be best to close them to minimize distractions. Even if you keep your eyes open, someone might get creeped out seeing you, so it's better to close them.

Humans have two energies: yin and yang, which represent feminine and masculine energy, respectively. How do you know if you have a balance of both energies? It's like this: if your yin energy is more dominant, you'll cry for no reason and be very emotional and sensitive, regardless of gender. If your masculine energy is more dominant, you'll get angry for no reason. The first thing we need to do is learn how to balance these energies. As I mentioned, first, we need to close our eyes, then concentrate on breathing and feel the heartbeat, listen to the sound of the heartbeat. Your energy will start flowing inside the body. You have to be sensitive enough to feel it. With regular practice of meditation, you can achieve this. The chi energy starts flowing in our body.

When you begin to focus and concentrate on your body movements, you may feel the chi energy circulating within you. Even if you're not fully focused, you can still sense a subtle rotation, especially in your hands, as they are particularly sensitive. However, my body is a mess; all the chakras are misaligned, making it difficult to control my fear and trauma. Despite having enormous power, my body often freezes up.

I am determined to strengthen it, to make it a perfect vessel capable of containing my power. My abilities exceed the limitations of this human form, but with a perfected vessel, I might harness my power more effectively. With closed eyes, I focus on my breath, its rhythm flowing in and out. I practice various breathing techniques, training my lungs to expand and hold the power while conditioning my heart to control it with precision.

During meditation, I chant the sacred sound "Aum." This sound holds significance because the entire world is composed of vibrations, and "Aum" is a fundamental vibration from which everything originates. It resonates deeply within me, aligning my being with the essence of existence itself.

"Master, master, someone is coming to your room and they look angry. I'm going to hide under the bed or in the cupboard," Poppy whispered, scurrying to find a hiding spot. Meanwhile, Raven lay peacefully asleep on the bed.

As I meditated, I remained conscious and aware, but I was deeply immersed and chose not to interrupt my practice. Suddenly, the door slammed shut, indicating someone's arrival, possibly with a hostile demeanor. "How dare you take my room, Arnold! Isn't it enough that your grandpa took our company?" The voice grew louder, filled with indignation. Despite hearing everything, I remained still with closed eyes, determined to complete my meditation before addressing the situation.

"I am talking to you! Get out right now, or I will call my mom and dad!" Raven, now awake, intervened. "Don't disturb my contractor." The intruder seemed taken aback. "Who are you? Are you his friend? I didn't know Arnold could make friends too. You look dirt poor," he sneered, mocking Raven. "No wonder he wasn't coming. So, he was hanging around this kind of dirt-poor. Well, you sit well together. What a match?"

Just as I was nearing the end of my meditation, I opened my eyes to find Arnold's cousin, Aaron, standing before me. "What are you doing here, Aaron?" I inquired, rising from my meditation posture. In an instant, Aaron grabbed my collar, asserting his dominance. "This is my room, so get the heck outta here!"

I couldn't help but chuckle at his arrogance and foolishness. "Are you too innocent or too arrogant? Your time to relax in this house is over. Now, all you can do is stand if I say yes, and sit if I say no."

He gripped my collar tightly, asserting his claim over everything in the house. "This is my house, and everything here belongs to me. That's what Mom said." It seemed he believed that everything of mine was automatically his, including my girlfriend. The figure lurking in the shadows was none other than him.

"There's a limit to how much you can push. Do you think I'm acting arrogant like you just because I have Grandpa backing me? No, I'm doing this because I have nothing to lose, but you have many things at stake: your house, your company, even your girlfriend, am I right?" I couldn't decipher his true intentions. Initially, I thought he might have cared a little, but now, I couldn't be sure. As soon as his grip weakened, I swiftly removed his hand.

"What would you like to have in my room? With one call, the servants would provide you with food. You've enjoyed this luxury for many years, but do you think it's permanently yours? Nothing is permanent, not even your youth. Do you believe power and money will stay with you till the end? No, they won't. Everything changes, and I've changed too. I'm not the old Arnold anymore. Do what you want."

Upon hearing this, Aaron's head drooped, then he raised his hand, releasing fire from his palm, setting the bed ablaze. "If I can't have it, then I won't let you have it either." He was truly unhinged. However, with my stabilized power, I easily countered with water magic to extinguish the flames. Yet, in my newfound strength, I lost control, causing water to flood the room, leaving everyone floating.

"Oh no, it seems I overdid it," I sighed, moving to open the window as everyone gathered in the room, witnessing the unexpected spectacle.

"What happened, son?" Aaron's mother arrived on the scene. "Your son made a mess; he burned my bed," I explained. However, before I could provide any further explanation, she slapped me without hesitation. "I didn't ask you. Whatever my son does, whether he burned one bed or two, does it matter?" she retorted dismissively.

This drama queen was back for more theatrics, as if the slap wasn't enough. "Wow, looks like you've forgotten, Mrs. Sheinz. But this whole house belongs to my parents, and the bedroom in which your son is living has been mine from the beginning. Do you still think I'm that naive kid?" I stared at her, asserting my authority over the house.

She grasped Aaron's hand and said, "Let's go, son. We'll get this house back soon. Everything will be fine." With that, they left the room, leaving behind a mess in their wake.

I utilized wind magic to swiftly rectify the chaos in the room. "Looks like I have to take action to remind them of their place," I muttered to myself as I reached for my cell phone. Opening the status window, I accessed the virtual communication network available in our world, allowing us to connect calls from anywhere and see each other face-to-face through virtual images.

Dialing Rud's number, I waited for him to pick up. "Hello, Rud. I need you to find me a lawyer," I stated firmly, determined to address the situation with legal recourse.
