Elmo was having a wonderful dream: He was at home having incredible luck on the latest must-have game that had been released. Not only was he dominating all the other players, but everything seemed so simple to him that he was having the time of hi life.
He was about to see how the main storyline ended when suddenly he was shaken awake. When he opened his eyes and saw Kim looking at him, he at first thought that he'd been pulled into a nightmare. Especially with how she was glaring at him.
"Get up, Elmo," Kim ordered him.
Elmo couldn't get his mouth to work, so he quickly scrambled to his feet, almost losing his balance and falling down in the process. He wasn't sure what this was about, only that he didn't think he wanted to see what would happen if he didn't do as Kim told him to do.
"Where is everyone?" Kim asked, drawing Elmo's attention to the fact that he had fallen asleep by the rear gate and aside from himself, Kim, and Jonas there wasn't anyone else around.
"Uhhh…" Elmo said, unsure what to say. He knew that Jonas had talked to someone last night, though the details were a little fuzzy. Then Elmo knew that he sat down and fell asleep. At that time, there was a large crowd spread out along the grass outside the city and rear gate to the grounds of the mansion that the party had been held at the night before.
"Never mind," Kim snapped. "I'll find them myself."
Elmo watched her as she stalked off, clearly in a bad mood, but he hadn't a clue as to why. Not that he had an easy time telling when she was in a good mood. Most of the time Elmo couldn't help but consider her into be in a bad modd at best.
Elmo just sighed as he replayed what he could remember of the night before. About the running and the fighting, and the incredible weariness. Elmo glanced at Jonas sleeping soundly. He wished he could still be asleep right then. Even with the morning sunlight shining directly on them.
It might have been only a matter of time before the sunlight woke them up, but it would have been less of a shock than to have Kim wake him up like she had. He briefly wondered if she'd shortened his life by any amount with the scare he'd gotten from her glaring at him being the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes.
After such a perfect dream too, he mused.
Sighing, Elmo thought of what to do next. He doubted that he'd be able to try and sleep more, given he felt rather alert at the moment. He couldn't be sure himself, though he suspected that his body would make it clear enough to himself if it needed him to sleep more later.
He was about to try and carry Jonas back to the manor when he suddenly realized he should check his stats. Not that he let most days go by without giving it at least a glance. Though, he suspected that there had to be some significant changes made, given how much had gone on the day before.
He at least assumed they'd be significant. He knew that it could just be something much less than he was expecting to see. Just that he felt like there should be a change on his stats that needed his attention.
"Stats," he said in a regular voice. If he woke Jonas up doing this, then he knew Jonas would have been waking up anyway at that time.

You have 5 attribute points to left to allocate. Where would you like to place them?
Elmo sighed as he looked his stats over. There wasn't as much of a significant change as he'd have liked, but it was at least a change. One that allowed him to do something to help make himself stronger in this world that sometimes felt almost like a video game to him.
He looked over his stats for a few minutes and eventually placed 2 points in his Wis and Int, and 1 point on his Mag. He suspected he should instead have done that to his Str or Con, but he felt that he should do what he could to make his spells just a little more powerful, and he certainly didn't want to lower his overall MP if he could help it. As it is, with his allocation of his attribute points, his MP max became 59.
He was about to close his stats when he saw the message of: You can learn a new skill or spell. Would you like to choose or see the options?
Elmo sighed. Personally he'd be happy to not have to deal with that, but he figured that he should take his time to deal with that right now, if only so he didn't have to deal with that later. As if he left it for later, there was always a chance that he'd forget and if he didn't choose a skill or spell, then he might not be as strong as he could be in a future battle. Which in turn would affect his chances of survival.
"Tutorial," he said quietly, almost like he was aftrad he'd be overheard this time.
"Are there any changes to what spells and skills I can choose?" Elmo asked, already feeling like he was saying too much. Although, he considered that it just might be him being a little self-conscious about it in general.
Elmo shook his head, although he was suspecting that it probably would be helpful for him to get a review of the choices. If nothing else, he thought it would be a good refresher, but at the same time, he didn't want to deal with the time that it would take in order to do all that.
"I'll just take Terror," Elmo said, saying the first skill that came to his mind. Not that he could really remember what the skill or spell did. He was merely wanting to be done with this and move on with his morning.
"No, I'm good," Elmo answered.
After the voice's last statement to him, Elmo shook hi head. While the tutorial was helpful, he couldn't help but feel like it was almost like some kind of spyware on his computer, which he wasn't sure could be removed. As such, he didn't think that it would be good to rely on his tutorial that much. Especially since it didn't really know that much that it could really share. Or at least when it would let him know that whatever request he was making of it was restricted or something, simply because of one excuse or another.
As such, while it was useful to know what skill were available and to have it help him select which skill or spell he wanted, she didn't care to try to work with it. Especially since he really didn't think that it was really trying to work with him in the first place.
Elmo started to walk back to the manor, but paused as she thought about Jonas. He looked at Jonas, sleeping quietly, as if he was in a comfortable room or something. Elmo couldn't be sure what he should do. He wanted to wake Jonas up, but at the same time, he couldn't help but wonder if he should just wait for Jonas to wake up on his own.
That way Jonas wouldn't be left unprotected, like both of them were as they slept out here through the night. Not that he really suspected anyone would come at them during the day like this. However, he couldn't be sure what they people running this competition might do. Especially since it was clear they weren't too worried about the contestants being killed.
In the end, Elmo sat down in the gate, so he could see if anyone was coming in their direction from the manor while being able to make sure that jonas was safe as well.
Or at least as safe as he could make Jonas.
