Luna sat alone at her desk, her heart heavy with sadness. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Her colleague, Anderson, who also happened to be Amy's boyfriend, had approached her with a cruel intention. He insulted Luna, calling her names, all because Amy had been fired.
Feeling hurt and frustrated, Luna couldn't hold back her emotions any longer. She turned to Anderson and said, "You know, Anderson, it's not just you. It's everyone here. You're all heartless."
Anderson looked taken aback by Luna's words. "What do you mean, Luna? We're not heartless," he replied defensively.
Luna took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before responding. "Let me tell you something," she began. "A few weeks ago, I almost drowned in the pool. It was a terrifying experience, and I genuinely thought I was going to die. But do you know what everyone around me did? They didn't rush to help or call for assistance. No, instead, they whipped out their phones and started recording the whole thing."
Anderson's expression changed from defensive to shocked. "Are you serious? They recorded it instead of helping you? That's awful!"
Luna nodded sadly. "Yes, it was. I was struggling to stay afloat, gasping for air, and all they cared about was capturing the moment for their social media feeds. It was as if my life didn't matter to them at all."
Anderson's face softened, and he reached out to Luna. "I'm so sorry, Luna. I had no idea. That's truly heartless and inconsiderate of them. I can't believe people could be so callous."
Luna appreciated Anderson's empathy. "Thank you for understanding, Anderson. It's just been really tough for me lately, and this incident with Amy's firing and your hurtful words just added to the pain."
Anderson sighed, regret evident in his voice. "I'm sorry, Luna. I shouldn't have taken my frustration out on you. It was unfair and uncalled for. I hope you can forgive me."
Luna looked at Anderson, seeing genuine remorse in his eyes. "I appreciate your apology, Anderson.
