SELANE'S PUB:
"Madam Selane." Iris called, on entering the pub.
"Iris! You're back." Madam Selane rushed forward to hug her.
"Asha bring a glass of water." Madam Selane said and sat her down.
"Where have been all night? We've been looking all over for you." Madam Selane asked even though she already knew where she was coming from.
"(Clears her throat as she gulped down the whole glass) I was at the palace." She replied not less than a whisper.
"Palace." Madam Selane muttered. "Have you finally gotten back your locket?" She asked.
"Locket, oh shit! I left it behind." She replied, touching her bare neck.
"I'll go later,I'm heading home to rest." Iris said as she stood up and sluggishly went out.
"Madam Selane." Asha called as she turned to face her.
"What is the matter now?" She grumbled.
"Something's wrong with Iris today, she doesn't look like her normal self." She explained.
"You weren't the only one who noticed, I too did but go back to work." Madam Selane said as she waved her hand in the air nonchalantly.
"Okay."
"I need to find out what happened last night at the palace." Madam Selane thought.
RYAN'S QUARTERS:
Ryan headed for his room, a tray of food with him. He placed the food on the table, surprised by Iris' disappearance. He walked to the bathroom and then the terrace but couldn't find her.
"Where could she be." Ryan wondered pacing round the room.
"Could she be in the garden or could father...no, he couldn't do that." Ryan frowned at the idea.
"My prince." A maid who was standing outside called. She was one of the maids that had helped Iris get ready.
"What's the problem." Ryan growled.
"It's princess Iris." She replied frightened.
"What happened to Iris." He asked, trying to control every urge not to raise his voice at her.
"She ran away."
"What rubbish are you saying?" Ryan questioned.
"I'm not lying my prince." She said. "I saw her leaving the room some minutes ago."
"Why didn't you stop her?" He asked angrily.
"My prince, I'm in no place to stop her." She replied.
"Just leave from here." He ordered as the maid ran out of the room.
"Iris how smdare you run away." He said, gritting his teeth in anger.
