After watching that illuminating duel Jaden had with Crowler, everyone was asked to board planes to arrive at the duel academy.
As everyone was boarding two different planes, you could clearly see the amount of blue getting on one plane while everyone else was getting on the other one.
Luke, of course, was offered a spot on what he can assume is an "elite" plane. Well, it's not like he can find a lot of elites around there, but a first-class ticket to the school; He will never say no to that. After all, before Pegasus picked him up, his lifestyle wasn't that different from what he knew from his descendant's beginnings in the satellite.
People did try to talk to him on the plane, but he wanted to get some sleep, which he felt he would desperately need if he wanted to live on this island.
After a few hours passed, they eventually made it to the island where, not surprisingly, he was brought into Obelisk Blue. However, something that did catch his attention was not how amazing the island looked from an outside view, but the moment he entered its airspace, an invisible force slammed into him, which caught him severely off guard, and his two marks, one on his right arm and started to glow vibrantly. Thankfully, he had his own little quarters on the plane, or he would not know how to explain this.
'damn, that was dark duel energy that just slammed into me. Was it the sacred beast or the cyberdarks? Nah, probably it is the sacred beast because my duel spirits are more powerful than that cyber dragon. Plus, the crimson dragon contracted with me; moreover, the marks immediately started to do their work and pushed it back. It seems the dragon is stronger than those god-wannabe cards.'
Once he got off, he went to the registration line. He did receive a blue uniform with a dorm room. However, he was asked to head to the chancellor's office after his speech before heading to Obelisk Blue. While standing in the blue section of students while hanging the uniform over his shoulder, he almost fell asleep. Still, thanks to those damn lessons Pegasus got him, he quickly woke himself up in time and scanned around to make sure he wasn't going to get hit by a piece of chalk, but he remembered he wasn't at Pegasus's island. After keeping himself awake, the speech ended, and the chancellor left, leaving a mess of students trying to get their way to their dorm; Luke, on the other hand, went towards the main building.

" ah, Luke Atlas, what a pleasure to finally meet you," Chancellor Shepherd said to the student walking through his door.
"It's good to meet you, too," Luke said to himself while going over what he knew from the show and manga of this person in front of him.
' chancellor shepherd… a hypocrite. Frankly, he isn't the worst person in this series; I can live with that. However, some of the things he does just tick me off. Like seriously, you train Zane to be respectful, but then Zane doesn't respect anyone on this island the way he preaches. he says that duelists must respect everyone but has done nothing to stop the racism on this island. He doesn't even help people; only those he respects help them grow stronger, not even his own brother.
Moreover, the chancellor left the school in Crowler's hands, which is a giant problem. He then tried to stop his prodigal son from turning rogue, but he failed. And let's not forget the spirit key incident, like seriously, if you know something is going to happen, why not have people on standby, and if he fucking says it's because of the budget, he's lying. Seto fucking Kaiba owns this island. Speaking about Seto, I don't know if he has hacked into the afterlife because there was not all of the virtual reality, but there was an incident involving a man named Deva, and Seto has a giant space station. So there is a possibility he it did happen, but not the virtual part of that move,' Luke thought to himself before taking a seat in front of the chancellor's desk.
"Well, I hope you had a nice trip here," the chancellor said, trying to get a decent conversation going.
"it was better than what I am used to, so I won't complain," Luke said
"Well, as nice as It would be to keep talking like this, I have to start with the reason why I have called you up here," Shepard said, which got a raised eyebrow from Luke.
' there's no way he's bringing me into his little circle. I know he has those jack, queen, and king positions, but I don't know who the jack of this year is. I know Zane is the king, hence the name Kaiser, but I do not know who that jack or queen might be. I believe it has something to do with the best incoming fresh... oh, that's why he is being this up.'
"Every year, we or the school selects the best duelist for freshman year to be crowned Jack. Now, this jack will normally become the king or queen when the previous one leaves, but with the new title, kaiser is reserved for the best duelist." the chancellor explains.
'thats new i thought it was just three titles but with the quality of dulist that zane is i can understand which jaden might get his jack title'
" which one will i be receiving and is there any risk of me having this title," Luke asked.
"risk none that the jack should know about unless there are unforeseen problem pop up"
"However, we are still deciding if we will receive the jack or the king position. if you want the jack, we can hand that over, but with the king, you will have to duel more people so you can build up a reputation."
"Now, we would wait to inform the jack of the importance of the position and wait until they become the king or the queen, however. I have received confirmation from Pegasus that you know the unique information about duel monsters," the chancellor explained, which got Luke thinking about the possibility of what he was implying which the only thing he could think of was...
"duel spirit and shadow games," Luke stated
"Yes, because I can guess what the main reason why Pegasus made you come to this island is." Yes, the reason why Luke came to this island was that he was forced to do so by Pegasus. It was not like he wouldn't come here because it was where all the fun would be.
'I knew there was another reason than the one he told me, but knowing him, this was probably not the real reason. The real reason is still...' Luke thought to himself before exploding at the annoyance of the man who is technically his guardian.
"I figure there was more than one reason, but do you want to know the reason he told me?" Luke said while intuning his fingers and playing them in front of his eyes while taking in a deep sigh.
"I thought he would have hinted at it, but it seems like that isn't the case, so sure, what was the reason." the chancellor asked while trying to get him to see the importance of not trailing off-topic.
"to make friends." Luke bluntly stated
"what?" Chancellor said while putting on a face that seemed like he heard a ridiculous joke. Of course, Luke didn't blame him. Duel Academy is the most distinguished academy for teaching the future of duel monsters so they can reach limits above those that have dueled before them. And the creator of said game sent a kid here to make friends?
"he sent me here because he said I was an emo loner who needed to learn how to act with kids my own age and not some annoying adults." Yes, for all the things Pegasus has given Luke, he is also a major throne on his side.
"pfft... hahaha...Hahaha. That's the reason he sent you here. Oh, that was a good one. I'll have to thank him later, but yes, the other reason is not that. As you might have guessed, there was something wrong with the island when you landed; yes, Pegasus alerted me about your sensitivity to duel spirit. That is another reason why I called you to inform you about those aspects but to ask for your help when oppression approaches this island." the chancellor said while trying to hide his smile behind a hand covering his face.
' ah, yes, the shadow riders or the more edgy title seven-star assassins will attack this island. Well, since he brought it up, I might as well ask.'
"what do you mean by the opposition?" Luke asked, trying to move the conversation away from Pegasus making fun of him.
"well, how much do you know about the three Egyptian god cards." the chancellor asked, trying to prob at the young man and how much Pegasus let him in on.
"pegasus talks about them every now and then, but I do know a lot about them; why?" Luke asked, trying to play along with the story he knew of and see if everything was still as he knew.
" well, cards of their caliber are sealed on this island, and seven guardians are needed to oppose those who wish to take them." the chancellor said with a heavy sigh, getting ready to face the accusations from the young man. When he looked up, he saw that he was annoyed but surprisingly took it relatively peacefully.
"If there are people that wish to take them, why isn't there more experience to take up this mantle?" Luke asked calmly, trying to get information on the situation and why it was handled so poorly.
"Well, Mr. Kaiba has some unique views about the protection of the students," Shepard said while scratching the back of his head, doing the best he could to not look at Luke and found the plant to be a better source of entertainment.
'that could be a problem.' "What did he do.'' luke asked while Sighing internally, seeing that the chancellor was actually doing his best in a terrible situation.
"he said; if they can't even defend themself against some wanna-be gangsters, then why am I paying so much money for them? So he believes that the students should prove their worth." Shepard said while sounding defective
'and because he's seto kaiba, no one will fight against him. Plus, he probably wants someone good to emerge from the mini-war so he can duel them. Also, no one will believe that this story, which has duel spirits, which is still being seen as a fairy tale. Damn, a terrible situation. Well, I have to take back my assessment a little bit about Shepard; he is trying his best for this event, at least.
"ugh... what a pain." luke groned
"indeed." Shepard agreed with him.
"Well, I suppose I will be joining this group then; if you said the jack normally doesn't know, then the other two... no three positions do know, right," Luke said, trying to fish out information about these titles which, if he remembers correctly, is for the manga.
"Yes, all of them know what is at stake here. I will introduce you to them later when I call for a meeting to decide the current guardians." the chancellor said, trying to bring an end to the meeting to get to the stacks of papers on his desk.
" is that everything, sir?" Luke asked
"Yes, that should be everything now. Do you have any questions? I know that grand party crowler is throwing will be quite a night, so you should head over there."
"just one, is it required to wear those tacky uniforms," Luke said with the most serious face that the chancellor had seen since the beginning of this meeting.
"um. those uniforms are of good quality, but no, it isn't required, just frowned upon," Shepard said, trying to figure out the weird perk of the duelist in front of him.
'please don't tell me he has a quirk as well, Seto with blue eyes and Yugi with straps, ' the chancellor thought to himself.
"Then I won't be wearing them; they're too flashy, in my opinion, and the color blue doesn't look good on me as a main color," Luke said, who doesn't even know how much he is acting like Jack would in his own situation.
After that, he walked out of the room, getting ready to face the next enemy and being social with the rats.
"you will be the only other person not wearing the uniform... isn't that flashy? Well, whatever, pegasus was right. He is an interesting kid but a good one, from what I can hear. Plus, a great duelist." the chancellor said while looking at the door Luke had just walked out of, having a face that really couldn't understand the thinking of the young man but then changing to a relieved smile.

.
As Luke walks towards the giant castle, he begins to think about the man who, in his opinion, has been a curse to him. Many classes about etiquette, stupid stories about explorations, and even him trying to make fun of him for his ability to make little kids cry, which, in his opinion, was because he was used to people trying to either scam him or beat him up after they lost a duel.
No, he can admit he has changed from his as a 10-year-old, but he has somewhat mellowed out with all the pranks and jokes Pegasus did to him. However, he also understands that there is a reason why Pegasus chose him.
The Synchro cards were the only reason why Pegasus chose him. The reason why those cards even exist was that Pegasus was approached by an organization that wanted him to check out these scriptures, and to their surprise, giant monoliths erupted from the ground, and Pegasus realized that these monsters wanted to come to life.
Those cards, however, were the trickiest to bring into reality because the cards, when made into fusion cards, either didn't work, destroyed themselves, or hurt the user. Pegasus gave up early until he attempted to make a new type of summoning, and it worked, but no one would read the cards, not even Pegasus himself. So he then realized, like those jeweled beast cards, they wanted a master and would not show themselves until they found him or her.
Pegasus then took both the new cards and the jeweled beast cards and went to multiple tournaments to find the right master for these cards. Now, he did find the user of the jeweled beast after him, whom Luke has met and thinks is a good guy. However, the situation with me was different when Pegasus realized the cards were calling out to Luke in a tournament where Luke absolutely destroyed his opponent with his ace at the time.
He was more than certain that it was Lliaster who contacted Pegasus, which he had not revealed, but Luke could guess that was who because only they would have the red archfiend dragon.
Luke then heard something and looked directed at the disguised pegasus but not at him but at one of the cases he was keeping near him. Pegasus immanently knew he was master to one of them, but he could not determine if the kid was the Syncro or beasts.
He then asks the man who put this tournament together and asks to arrange a meeting with the boy, and he agrees. Once the boy reached the room, there was just Pegasus and the two cases in the room. Pegasus then began to talk to the young child and found he almost acts like Seto, but unlike him, he did not have his own mokaba to help him, nor did he get adopted by a billionaire.
As he continued talking, he then brought up the topic of dual spirits, just merely testing the waters to see if the kid understood what he was talking about; however, to his surprise, he asked about the spirits in those two cases.
Pegasus was surprised but opened up the crystal beast, and when Luke approached them, he touched the cards but then turned to Pegasus, saying that these were not calling out to him. Pegasus was, of course, disappointed but was more ecstatic about the other ones being his monster. As Luke approached the deck that had a white card on the top, pegasus asked if he could see it, to which he replied ''no, but something felt off about them'', and as he touched the deck, the kid started to have a secure out while his back glowed a giant mark of a crimson dragon and his right arm glowed crimson and a j like shaped appeared on his arm. And the room started to glow a bright white.
Pegasus, of course, tried to reach the kid before the bright light, but after opening his eyes, he looked at the kid who was unconscious, lying down on his face to the floor, and both marks were glowing like they were finally whole again. Pegasus, of course, was speechless at the strange mark appearing through the clothes. He tried to remove the upper shirt to see if it was truly coming from him, and it was a dark but bright crimson coming off what he could only assume was a mark on both his back and right arm.
When he put his shirt and jacket back on, he noticed a red glow coming from the cards, which he approached, and he was startled. On the top was again a white card; however, the card was finally visible to him, and on the top was one scarlight red dragon archfiend.
After that, pegasus did everything he could to learn about Luke; however, after learning he was an orphan who occasionally dueled in some illegal duels and some underground duels, he adopted him and a guardian. He bribed a lot of people to gain guardianship of the boy and keep it as secret as he could. He was even asked by Kiaba why he was trying t to do this when he told his story and much about the boy. According to Pegasus, an interesting look appeared on his face, and he said, "Do as you pleased," and helped him according to the old man.
As finishing the interesting tale, he noticed he was in front of the castle. As soon as he entered, he found himself the center of attention of the whole room who so recognized him, but the older ones who weren't at the exam began to tell him off until they saw the uniform he had over his shoulder and backed off.
No one approached him, and the party continued, but many people had their eyes on him while he quietly looked at a steak in the background at one of the tables in the corner before excusing himself from the party to find his room for the night.

After all the night activities had settled, Luke went to his room. From the questions he got from crowler, he can now see where his preferences are.
The room was a spacious one with there being a couch, coffee table, a giant TV, a king-size bed with white covers, and a desk where what he assumed a laptop could be, but there were a few of his bags in a corner.
Luke appreciates this because he has never had any expenses. Even when Pegasus took him in, he never requested something special, which he knew confused the guy, but he liked it that way.
As he was setting things up, he noticed a noise from his computer and then opened it to see he was getting a call. Normally, he would accept it because only people he knew would be able to call on his laptop, but the caller ID was one million pegasus. After a few seconds, he sighed and accepted his fate.
"Ah, Luke-boy, has everything gone as expected?" a cheerful but annoying voice came through the speaker while a picture of a smiling old man, not old, but Luke prefers to think of him that way, with a red suit and purple hair, appears on the screen.
"yes, and it turns out that making friends wasn't the real reason you sent me here, old man." Luke shot back.
"what? No, that was the real reason I sent you there. Can having you turn out like Seto, a stuck-up man who can even talk to his peers without making them seem like they are both him." Pegasus said cheerfully while getting on Luke's nerve
"Whatever, but I did talk to the shepherd about those cards that are on the island."
"yes, the scared beast cards. Well, I thought at first you might be the one to tame them, but a better opportunity came into play, and those love synchro cards came into play. Oh, and how were they? I know you have been doing good based on Shepherd's comments." pegasus inquired
"They were amazing, and their spirits were very happy to be used finally," Luke said
"Ah, yes, the sprits. I have to admit they were quite picky about their user to the point I thought I was going to seal another set of cards. Well, it was fun talking to you, my boy, and please try to talk to people. And who knows, you might get a girlfriend; bye." after pegasus finished and ended the call, Luke then slammed his face onto the desk
*smack * " I am going to hurt that guy. fucking make some friends and try to get a girlfriend...fucking ill show him." Luke said in a mocking tone before deciding that he needed to cool off because this got him worked up. He threw off his jacket and shirt, put on a black no-sleeved shirt, and started to head to the gym after reviewing the map he was handed at the being of the day.
.
.
.
When he entered the room, he noticed there was no one in there, so he went to start hitting waits, but while he went to put weight on a bar, he heard the door open.
'I swear if it is another fucking dog, I will lose my cool because pegasus had to be fucking pegasus.' he turned to see a tall figure with blue hair and a more gym outfit.
'Zane Tresdale... Hell Kaizer, well, just Kaizer at the moment. He's definitely a pretty good duelist, but he can't take a loss well. Plus, there's the fact that a hypocrite; well, everyone is a hypocrite if I'm being fair. Well, cyber dragons were some, if not my favorite, before coming here, and one of my trap cards was supposed to have the XYZ summon of cyber dragon as the artwork, but I had to have it changed to have one of my dragons on it. Well, I should probably get to know him., but I'm not going to say anything. He says something first.' Luke thought to himself while getting ready to do some reps.
While he was going through the motion, he noticed someone standing above him and realized it was Zane. After a few seconds, he realized what Zane was doing and figured it was alright being his spotter for a bit.
After a couple of minutes, Luke finished his rep, put the bar back on the handle, and got up. Zane then handed him a bottle, which Luke didn't wave off because he forgot to grab one because of him looking at his temper.
"ahh, thank I really needed that. Hey, what's your name," Luke said, trying to start a conversation with Zane.
"Zane Truesdale, but do you mind spotting for me." Zane introduced himself while getting on the set Luke was on. Luke, in response, got into the position Zane was in and watched over him while Zane did the same bench press as Luke.
"so tell me, why is the best freshman not out there enjoying the party," Zane asked.
"I don't do well with social events, plus I usually scare people off. Also, I could ask the same thing about you, King," Luke said, which raised an eyebrow from Zane, wondering where he could have heard that from on the first day.
"I listened in on some of the people around me, and you got brought up, plus the chancellor was talking about the whole titles, and you said best freshman and the jack is that," he explained while Zane thought about the reasoning and nodded his head accepting the believable tale.
"well, that's nice and all, but that just explains why you aren't at the party. When I entered her, you looked more pissed and something, and you doing this was probably to take your mind off something."
"Pegasus is fucking annoying," Luke stated, which Zane was caught off guard.
"pardon"
"pegasus needs to mind his own fucking business and leave me alone," Luke says while Zane continues his rep and, after a few, has put the bar back on its rack.
"fair enough, well as illuminating as that might be, I only came here to get off some steam and then head to bed, so I'll take my leave." he then quietly left the gym area, and Luke was there all alone, thinking to himself.
' ya, I'm pretty much done too. I let off some steam, and I'm good now
"Well, let's see how good those showers are and if the bed is better than the one I have at home.".
.
.
.
Hey, it's me again. I'm not dead, unfortunately.
Let's unpack some things here. first yes, the sacred beast was an option that I had thought of while picking this guy's deck, but I went with synchro monsters instead so Yubel could have some good monsters while fighting Luke.
Second, the title for the school: I haven't read the manga in a while, so I cannot remember everything, but there will be some aspects from there in this. I believe I remember the titles of King- Best Male, queen- Best Female, and Jack- Best Freshman. I believe without a doubt that Luke is the best plus; he has a recommendation from the guy who made the fucking game they play, so ya a no-brainer picking him.
Now, I don't really like Shepherd, and some of the fanfiction I have read does not portray him in a good light. (The Hound of Central Academy by Zap C Cannon on fanfic) However, I tried to put him in a good light because I figured someone who tries to be nice and care for kids' future would let a simple problem such as money stop him. however if someone puts a wall in his way, and that person is Seto Kaiba, there will be some problems. Plus, I can see the guy doing this very thing.
I also gave some clues on how Luke can come into contact with Pegasus and why the Synchro cards were made. Now, the reason why Synchro won't be available for years is that I want them to find out the way to make them. I can't remember if the cards made a certain energy or the energy that made them. Either way, without this energy or the helping of the crimson dragon, there are no more synchros besides luke in this era.
I also tried to get some major people added to the story, so please leave a review and comment about what should be done better.
Thank you, and have a nice day.
