Chapter 1 - The Begining

Disclaimer: The story is inspired by real events.

the beginning

Houses collapsing, farms burning in flames, people killed and wounded, and children losing their freedom, all of this happened in one night, while pain scattered in the darkness of the night.

On that intervening night, the deposits were robbed. The people who consider themselves free have become mere forgotten history. Years passed, and the people remained the slave of the occupying powers allied in what is known as the Tripartite Aggression. Yes, they are the Nomads.

To understand, the Nomads are famous for their naval power, as their country can only be occupied from the sea side. They focused their power on the sea, and the sea called the North Sea occupies an important position, as it separates the eastern and western powers, and the western or eastern powers cannot move from one side to another except through it. The Nomad state was located among them, so they imposed a tax on mobile ships.

But the Eastern and Western powers were not happy about this. So they decided to resolve their differences and establish a union called the Triple Aggression, which consisted of two eastern states, Byzantia and Franga, and one state in the west, called Virgania.

The tripartite aggression defeated the Nomad state in a naval battle, and their forces spread throughout the rest of the lands, and what happened happened. The tripartite aggression issued a document dividing lands and wealth among them, and as for the population, half of them were buried under the ground, and the other half were arrested and exiled to one of the aggression countries to become slaves there.

The Triple Aggression also established laws regarding slaves which are as follows:

-The slave has no right to disobey the orders of his masters, whatever they may be, even if he is ordered to hang himself.

-Slaves had the right to marry among themselves, and children would become slaves of their parents' masters at the age of ten.

-The slave does not have the right to own the land for himself, but it must be under the mandate of his master.

-If a slave disobeys orders, his punishment ranges from flogging to death depending on his action.

-A slave does not have the right to call himself a nomad. According to the law, he is a person without origin.

-A slave does not have the right to study, and if he does so, it must be with the approval of his owner.

And then...

Years passed, and heroes emerged who led the revolution, but every time the people's hopes rose, the attempt was broken, and their condition worsened.

Jäger, like other children during the era of the tripartite aggression, did not live a childhood of luxury and peace, but rather lived in hunger and fear. When he reached the age of nine, he saw himself being kidnapped from his mother's hands in a swap operation between the states of Farhana and Byzantia. He found himself and 200 other Jäger found himself and his colleagues being divided into groups of 30 children, and each group was put into its own room, or prison, as it might be described.

The first day in prison was filled with fear and uncertainty. They were facing a new life as slaves, and many questions loomed in their minds about their fate.

What will be Jäger's fate in the future? The chapter ends
