Chapter 15 First Layer of the Spirit Sense Realm

The room was quiet as Ceid was reflecting on his situation.

While he appeared carefree on the surface, it didn't mean he didn't care about losing his cultivation. Furthermore, although Wyd said otherwise, he still considered himself a Spirit Core Realm practitioner since his dantian's core was still present.

Although admittedly, his core could no longer refine True Qi into Origin Qi. But that was beside the point.

Now that he was planning to recultivate, he wondered whether he should take another cultivation path. He was having second thoughts about his original cultivation future.

Understandably, he should have an easier time when recultivating his Shen Dantian.

But, the prospect of becoming a magician on this Blanc Planet was tempting.

I mean, look at the Elven girl, Feline woman, Canine girl, and those mature phoenix women full of the aura of motherhood.

Wouldn't it be better for him to master elemental energy to get close to them?

<...>

This time, Wyd was thoroughly speechless.

Although Ceid didn't say it out loud, his thought was connected to Wyd after all. Even if privacy parameters isolated most of Ceid's thoughts, some of his thoughts leaked whenever his wild imagination went unchecked.

And this time, Ceid's lascivious thoughts were entirely exposed to Wyd.

It took him some time to calm down and stop daydreaming.

He did not forget the most important thing he needed to check besides his body. Ceid shifted his attention to his partner and companion, his contract beasts.

"Wyd, what is the current condition of Little Hei and Little Hong?

-

Ceid's first contract beast was Little Hei or Du Hei. She was a female cat he found when he had just arrived in the previous world from Earth.

His closest friend when he was alone in a strange, unfamiliar world.

She had dark greyish fur, almost black, with stripes of lighter grey. She had an active, mischievous, and coquettish personality with a loyal and loveable side.

She had a trace of the Night Liger Race bloodline, a race famous for its control over lightning.

Unfortunately for her, as a beast species, the bloodline in her body was thin. Let alone controlling lightning, she could not even produce an electric spark. She was like any other ordinary cat.

Ceid's second contract beast was Little Hong or Enrir Huor, a male eagle Ceid found injured when he went jungle training in the previous world.

He had an arrogant and spoiled brat personality with a caring and attentive side.

He had a very thin bloodline of Storm Roc, a race resembling a mixture of eagle roc and Hippogriff. This makes Little Hong have the figure of a roc compared to an eagle, gigantic and agile.

-

Ever since Ceid's cultivation was almost shattered and his mental consciousness was heavily injured, he couldn't do many things.

Initially, when he had just calmed down after arriving, he could barely activate Wyd and perform the Wide Area Scan.

This morning, or yesterday's, to be more specific, as midnight had passed, as he asked Wyd to connect to the local network, he almost collapsed in excruciating pain.

Thankfully, he did not worsen the condition of his already fragile mental consciousness. But he did make his meditation efforts from yesterday went down the drain.

It could be said that he couldn't do many of the things he wished.

Contacting or sensing his contract beasts were included in the list.

Fortunately, he could sense that the Beast Contract was still intact. So he was not too concerned, given that the two creatures had remained within the storage space.

That's why he was calm about the whole situation.

But now that he'd had a moment of respite, Ceid couldn't wait to ask Wyd to check on the two beasts' situations.

[Ding!]

[Host's instruction had been confirmed.]

[Connecting to the Space Storage...confirmed]

[Checking and analyzing the two contract beasts' condition...completed]

[Physical Body Check: Normal

Cultivation Check: Normal.]

"And why is that?" Ceid asked anxiously. He was worried that something had happened to his beast partners.

Ceid's eyes were downcast.

Based on Wyd's report, he knew he had implicated his beast partners.

A spark of determination ignited in Ceid's eyes.

He may not mind losing his cultivation and strength, but he doesn't want to see his two partners implicated due to his injury.

I needed to speed up my recovery so that the two little guys could regain their consciousness soon.

"Wyd, are there any specific methods I need to apply or any precautions I need to keep in mind when recultivating from scratch?"

(Note: To allow readers to understand better and avoid confusion, the author will use the following convention:

The Qi freely available in the surroundings --> Aura Qi;

The Qi belonged to the cultivator inside their body --> True Qi

The Qi released by the dantian's core after being converted --> Origin Qi

Technically, Aura Qi and True Qi are the same. I hope this helps.)

"In summary, the problem lies in my spirit cultivation level."

"Well, in that case, I thank you in advance."

Ceid was sincerely thankful because it helped him a lot by doing so.

Initially, when he was promoted to the Spirit Core Realm, a ton of effort and concentration was put in.

First, he needed to refine his True Qi accumulation into Origin Qi.

Second, he needed to cast his core using the Origin Qi simultaneously.

Only after successfully casting all of his True Qi into the core could he be considered a Spirit Core Realm practitioner.

Afterward, it's just a repetition of inhaling Aura Qi, refining it into Origin Qi, and casting it into the core. As the core was cast layer upon layer, he grew in strength.

As a late-stage Spirit Core Realm practitioner, Ceid's reserve of Origin Qi was huge.

So when Wyd said she could help disintegrate his original core into pure Origin Qi, what would this mean?

It meant that he would not lose his previous accumulation and effort.

It also saved Ceid from doing two things simultaneously when advancing into the Spirit Core Realm later. He could put all his effort and concentration into casting his core.

No wonder Wyd said Ceid could lay a more solid foundation.

Hearing Wyd's lengthy explanation, Ceid was relieved.

He closes his eyes, focusing on his will. The Aura Qi, thin and sluggish at first, gathered around him. After sensing it, he guided the Aura Qi into his body as he breathed in and out.

Like a spark of wisp of smoke yearning to become a roaring fire, his long journey back to power has just begun.

-

Several hours later, near the Azure Building.

The sun had long shone above the horizon. Although hidden behind the mountains and the tall walls, the sky had brightened to welcome a new day.

Through the tinted window, the light began to illuminate the dark halls and rooms inside the building.

Inside one of the rooms on the first floor, the light had penetrated the coated clear window, painting the room in warm hues as Ceid opened his eyes.

He feels… different.

Not the powerhouse he once was, but a flicker of his former strength returns. It may be a tiny ember, but it was an ember nonetheless.

Ceid expelled a deep breath and asked, "Wyd, how long have I been meditating? How is the progress coming along?"

"Modest is an understatement." A tinge of joy could be heard in his voice.

"But a step nonetheless," he continued.

Now, the next task. Food. We wouldn't want a weakened Shopkeeper, would we?

He stretches his body as a hint of his old humor returning.

Since regaining his True Qi, he felt refreshed. Each cell of his body was screaming in pleasure. It made his mood improve.

"The road ahead is long, paved with unfamiliar challenges."

"But first, what I need is food! I'm hungry," he said.

With a cheerful and optimistic mindset, he went out of the room. A new adventure and experience waiting for him.

Today was the start of another new day.
