Toru had been waiting for this moment—finally, a proper date with Yuta. She had been upset with him for getting himself into danger when he attacked Shie Hassaikai's base alone, but after he pleaded with Aizawa to let him go out, she couldn't resist him any longer. Now, here they were at the amusement park, enjoying a sunny day. Or at least, she was trying to.
But something was off. Yuta seemed... distracted, like his mind was somewhere else. At first, she brushed it off, thinking maybe he was just nervous about their date. She tried to lighten the mood, playfully bumping his shoulder and suggesting they go on the Ferris wheel. But every time she did something to get closer, Yuta would freeze, glance around, and mumble something she couldn't quite hear.
Maybe I'm being too subtle, she thought. Toru decided to give him some more obvious signs. As they walked through the park, she nudged his hand, hoping he'd get the hint and hold it. But Yuta just awkwardly look at the sky at that time like he was angry on someone while glaring at one particular direction for some reason. She sighed in frustration.
He wasn't acting like his usual self, where is the boy who ask her out, out of nowhere in the class no less. Where is that Straightforward boy ? And it was starting to bug her.
'Maybe because he can't see me so that he don't find me attractive.
They sat down for a moment near the carousel, and she scooted closer to him. "So, Yuta... are you having fun?" She batted her eyes, trying to create a romantic moment. "Because I am. A lot."
Yuta nodded absurdly suddenly, "Of course I am having the best time…" He said while he hover his hand on the side like he was holding onto someone…

Yuta wanted to scream. No, not scream—he wanted to cry, loudly, like a child. Here he was, on a perfect date with Toru, who was giving him all the signs. She nudged his hand, leaned closer, even gave him that soft look that said, Hey, I like you, maybe kiss me now. It was like a dream scenario.
But it wasn't a dream. It was a nightmare.
Because every time he thought about holding her hand, or even—gasp—kissing her, he felt a dark, cold presence looming over him. That presence was none other than Rika. She was standing behind him, arms crossed, glaring like she was ready to throw a tantrum if he so much as breathed too close to Toru.
'Seriously, why me? Yuta whined internally. Why is my life so complicated? I'm a hero! I've fought monsters, I've faced down evil... Haven't I been a good boy so why I can't even hold my girlfriend's hand without a murderous spirit breathing down my neck?!'
He glanced at Rika, who was now floating inches above him, pouting like a jealous child. She had her arms crossed and looked like she was ready to rip his head off if he tried anything. Yuta forced a smile at Toru, who was looking up at him expectantly, but inside, he was shouting to the heavens.
'God, are you there? It's me, your favorite pass time. Look, I know I've made some bad choices in life like asking to live one more time in this "you" damn world—maybe cursing you wasn't the best idea—but why am I being tortured like this?!'
He sighed internally, his mind racing. 'All I want to do is kiss that girl! But nope, can't do that because I have a crazy spirit stalking me!'
Toru leaned in a little closer, her lips just inches away. Yuta felt sweat trickle down his forehead. 'Damn it, I can fell her breath now, stop this, this is torture'. He screamed silently.

Toru walked back to her dorm with a disappointed look, her head hanging low. She had tried everything—everything—to hint at Yuta that she wanted him to kiss her, but nothing worked. Not even a peck on the cheek! She sighed, feeling a bit down and, to be honest, a little insecure.
'Maybe it's because he can't see me after all?' she thought sadly.
She dragged her feet, replaying the date in her mind. She had given him all the signs—leaning in, holding his hand, even practically spelling it out! Yet Yuta just stood there awkwardly, looking like he was in some kind of intense battle... with nothing. Or at least, she couldn't see what he was so worried about. She sighed again, her invisibility suddenly feeling more like a curse.
Meanwhile, Yuta was standing there, waving goodbye with a pained smile plastered on his face, but inside? Oh, he was crying—no, he was bawling like a toddler.
'Fuck it, Send me to a hentai world after this. I will show you what a villain is, there… I don't want this love comedy anymore…! he screamed internally. He knew Toru was upset. He could see it in the way she walked away all sad and disappointed. It tore him apart, but he couldn't do anything. Rika, who was currently clinging to his arm like a jealous little sister, wouldn't let him. Every time he even thought* about making a move, Rika would tighten her grip and stare daggers at him.
"This is so unfair, I wanted for such long time…' Yuta whined in his head, watching Toru's figure disappear down the street. 'I just wanted to have a nice date and maybe—just maybe—kiss my girlfriend! But noooo, I have a chibi Yandere spirit who won't let me even breathe in peace!*
As if to rub salt in the wound, Rika pulled on his arm, pouting dramatically. She was still floating next to him, glaring at where Toru had walked off. Yuta sighed and patted her head, trying to calm her down.
'Goodbye, sweet kiss. Goodbye, romantic date. Goodbye, happiness.' Yuta mourned silently as he waved to Toru, who was too far to notice how utterly defeated he looked. On the outside, he smiled like nothing was wrong, but inside, he was screaming into the abyss.
