[Do you wish to end the turn?]

As William surveyed the grim reality laid bare by the intelligence report, a sense of urgency gripped his heart. The secessionists were massing their forces, their intentions clear as day. With their fleets poised to strike, they were preparing to unleash their full might upon the Empire.

In response, William wasted no time in mobilizing the entire might of Dawn's army. With a force numbering five million strong, including reserves ready to be called upon, they stood as a formidable bulwark against the looming threat.

Yet, even as William marshaled his troops for battle, he couldn't shake the nagging sense of unease that gnawed at the edges of his consciousness. The secessionists outnumbered them, their ranks bolstered by mercenaries and hired guns drawn to the promise of wealth and glory.

With the absence of Tier 1 units or weapons among the secessionists' ranks, William saw a glimmer of opportunity amidst the darkness of impending conflict. This was a crucial advantage that he intended to leverage to its fullest extent.

In the intricate dance of warfare within human factions, William understood the importance of strategy and positioning. The layout of a planet's defenses often followed a predictable pattern, with three distinct sides: the fortress side, the economic hub, and the military headquarters.

As William made his way towards the mother ship, his mind buzzed with a mixture of determination and apprehension. Despite the warnings and pleas from others to avoid boarding the ship due to the inherent risks involved, he knew that this was a crucial step he couldn't afford to bypass.

With each step, he felt the weight of responsibility pressing down upon him, a constant reminder of the magnitude of the task ahead.

There were a couple of things he needed to witness, truths he needed to uncover, in order to...

As William stepped aboard the massive mother ship, he couldn't help but marvel at the sheer scale and advanced technology that surrounded him. Despite being labeled as outdated, the vessel exuded a sense of power and sophistication that left him in awe.

As he moved through the bustling corridors, he was surrounded by a whirlwind of activity. Everywhere he looked, technicians and crew members operated high-tech equipment with precision and efficiency, their movements a symphony of synchronized motion.

Amidst the high-tech marvels that surrounded him, William felt a sense of determination wash over him. This was the dawn of a new era, a chance to rise from the ashes and reclaim the glory that was hanging in front of William.

As the mothership soared into the vast expanse of space, its sensors honed in on the unmistakable presence of the secessionist fleet. There was no need for a prolonged search; their adversaries had already made their presence known.

With grim determination, William watched as the enemy ships converged on the economic side of the planet, their intentions clear as day. They sought to cripple the Empire's infrastructure, weaken its resolve and drain its resources in a war of attrition.

But William was not one to back down from a challenge. As he observed the enemy's brazen attack, a fire ignited within him, driving him to action. He refused to allow the secessionists to dictate the terms of engagement, to hold the Empire hostage to their demands.

With a steely resolve, William issued orders to counterattack, directing the full might of the mothership's arsenal towards the enemy's position. It was time to take the fight to them, to show them that he would not be cowed by their aggression.

As the two fleets landed on the ground and, amidst the backdrop of the cosmos, William stood at the helm of the mothership, his gaze fixed on the enemy fleet. Victory may not come easily, but he was prepared to fight tooth and nail to defend the Empire and secure its future.

The fate of the realm hung in the balance, and William would stop at nothing to ensure its survival.

As the armies of both factions sprang into action, William observed Gwen's dedication and prowess with a mixture of admiration and concern. Despite her limitations, she threw herself into the preparations for war with a fervor that impressed even him.

Though Gwen possessed the potential to excel as a High Mech pilot, her cognitive abilities fell short of the rigorous demands required for such a role. Yet, instead of letting her limitations hold her back, she poured herself into every aspect of the war effort, determined to make a difference in honor of her father's memory.

For William, seeing Gwen's unwavering commitment was a source of both relief and pride. He knew that her desire to honor her father's legacy drove her to give her all to the cause, even in the face of daunting challenges.

She had no hope that the Dawn Empire would win this war, but she wanted to respect her father's death, and thus she was doing her best in this war.

William also knew that even if she had dealt a lethal blow to the secessionists, even if the secessionists came to power, they would not lay a single hand on her

With each strategic maneuver and tactical decision, Gwen demonstrated a level of command and control that rivaled even the legendary Franklin. Her instincts were sharp, her leadership unyielding, and her determination unwavering in the face of adversity.

Which made her a soldier who had worth in nurturing.

{Ending host's [Turn:- 2]}

As William stood beneath the cascading water within the confines of the mothership, lost in his own thoughts, a notification rudely interrupted his solitude. With a resigned nod, he acknowledged the message, realizing that his attempts to delay the inevitable had been in vain.

It seemed that his talent, whatever it may be, refused to be ignored or sidelined. Despite his best efforts to avoid making a choice, the talent had its own agenda, one that operated on its own timeline.

For a brief moment, William entertained the notion of cheating his talent, by extending his turn by not choosing to end his turn. But the notification served as a stark reminder that such defiance was futile, that the talent would assert itself regardless of his wishes.

But ending the turn now as good as any day because he couldn't do anything with 500 resources.
