"How did you know they were taking me away?" Eve asked the question that has been on her mind since the officers left. She stood with Moon on the road at the same spot where they left her and she was looking at him. She was still a little shaken up by what happened earlier and had thought that her life would go downhill. She had thought about Maidservant Ann too. She had feared that she won't be there to take care of her and be there when she needs her. And in the slight seconds before she saw who had come to help her, she had thought of him...had thought that she won't be able to see him and he would never find out where she was or be allowed to see her.
"I saw the officers heading towards this direction and I followed them."
Eve turned to face the side of the road and a sigh escaped her lips.
"You didn't think I will let them take you, did you?"
Eve looked at him again and she said, "They could come back."
"I won't let them take you."
