Alex looked the boy in the eyes then checked him out from the stray strands of hair that were patched on his head to his uniform and to his shoes. He appeared to be a street rat as his fit was crumpled and dirty. Alex finally looked back into his eyes then said,
"Who are you?"
The boy turned at his friends as he had not expected Alex to say those words to him. As he turned at them, they all suddenly began to laugh moronically and the act irked Alex, making his skin crawl. They finally stopped laughing and they focused their attention back to Alex.
"It's funny you have forgotten us so fast while we still remember you like you have been in our lives all long." The boy who seemed to be the leader of the group said.
