As they ran on the dangerous crumbling grounds, Ashton almost lost his grip on his mom's hand but he wasn't going to let her slip away from him real quick. He clenched onto her wrist firmly and continued to pull her along as he found safer routes.
Finally, they got into the fields but the situation there was not any better. The ground had started to crumble as if a huge pit was being drilled from an underground world.
They all tried to regain a firm stand as the ground shook ferociously by grabbing onto each other's arms. Magic suddenly became useless at that moment as some tried to retain themselves by levitating far from the ground but every attempt was an effort washed down the drain.
