Ari's words seemed to have hit the pause button. Mrs Harlow, who was sitting in her chair, stiffened as a look of disbelief etched on her face. It was as if she could not believe nor understand what Ari said just now, even after hearing what she said perfectly.
Next to Mrs Harlow sat Ariel, whose eyes lit up when she heard that Ari had divorced Noah. She had felt great regret when she found out that Noah stabilized his company and was no longer going bankrupt. Back then, she really wanted to come back and kick Ari out of the equation.
But it was impossible, as Ariel knew that if she was to return just three months after the wedding, then no one would sympathize with her. If anything, they would only get suspicious of her actions. So even when her heart was not willing, Ariel had to stay away from Noah, as she wanted to portray the role of a heartbroken woman to the last nail.
