"What?" Though she was sure that Nicolai was very much aware of what she was asking him, the man arched his brow and questioned, "What's wrong?"
However, she was too overwhelmed to bother quibbling with him. She walked over to him and touched the tattoo of the woman who resembled her awfully too much, while the grim reaper, who had always been alone, finally held the hand that he had been waiting for.

"It's not an impulse if that's what you are asking for," Nicolai told her as he hugged her. "It was about damn time I finally got it done so I chose a pretty day to have your ownership firmly imprinted on my heart and soul as well as my body. How is it? Do you like it?"
He blinked down at her and who knows what he saw but then his lips curled up into a smile, "Ah, it seems like you love it."
