"Child?" Ariana blinked her eyes and looked down at Nicolai's hand that was touching her abdomen. "I—I am pregnant?"
"No one told you?" Nicolai frowned. He thought that someone might have told Ariana about her pregnancy but when he saw the confusion in her eyes, he knew that they had collectively made him the bearer of this news and that too without telling him.
Ariana raised her head and stared at him in shock and disbelief, causing Nicolai to touch the tip of his nose with his fingers. He sighed before relaying what Aiden told them; by the time he finished speaking, Ariana was in tears again. She wished she could kill Jeremy with her own hands; it was bad enough that he harmed her but because of him, her precious child was in danger as well.
