Kaylyn stumbled and nearly fell on the floor, but before she could crash into the tea table behind her, she was pulled up by her husband. Theodore helped her sit down on the edge of the bed and turned to look at Penelope.
"Is this true, Penelope? Is Nicolai and that woman telling the truth?"
However, Penelope didn't seem to hear the disappointment in his voice. If anything, the woman was filled with disbelief when she thought about how her parents were questioning her.
