The air suddenly turned hostile and stiff inside the ward like the first time when Ariana came to examine Millie. The young woman did not speak nor did she look at Ariana.
Ariana didn't look away from Millie. Instead, she calmly said to the young woman, "Alright, I will not touch you. Do you want to drink some water to calm yourself down?" Her voice was filled with concern.
Receiving no response, Ariana sighed and then poured a glass of water for Millie who took it tentatively. The young woman drank the water reluctantly sip by sip and looked around the room again and again as if she was reassuring herself that she was still in the ward and not somewhere else.
Ariana noticed that Millie was agitated and administered an injection that would turn Millie drowsy and then let her fall asleep.
