"Disgusting?" Noah repeated.
"That's right disgusting," Ari nodded. She sneered and spat coldly, "You are acting as if you are trying to help me but what you are doing is protecting yours and Ariel's interests at the cost of mine! If this is not disgusting, then I don't know what is!"
She turned on her feet and walked away, she did not wish to speak with Noah anymore. Ari did not know what she even expected, when she saw Noah standing at the end of the street and waiting for her, she would be lying if hope had not bubbled in her heart.
Of course, she was not naive enough to think that he would suddenly confess his love for her, but she expected him to at least give her an apology. She had, after all, wasted three years on him but all she received was another mockery.
The onlookers who were watching the confrontation shook their heads in pity. Some elderly women understood what was going on at once and couldn't help but gossip.
