CHAPTER 690
Immediately after he gave his answer, a viciously thick black flame enveloped the first creature form towards the left. Northern patiently watched the sinister flames dance as though their plumes were rejoicing.
After a few seconds, the flames calmed down, subtly revealing the visage of the monster as it reduced... and until it was no more.
Northern's lips parted slightly upon seeing the monster.
Standing before his eyes was a four-legged creature that radiated an otherworldly—and as a matter of fact—familiar presence. Its body was as though it was sculpted from ancient stone and gilded in golden armor.
Each plate of its armor was etched with intricate geometric patterns, swirling and spiraling in perfect symmetry, as if woven from the threads of a forgotten cosmic order.
Its horns curled outward in magnificent arcs, massive and imposing, each ridge carved with the same ornate designs that adorned its body.
