"One to go." I said as we slowly get up and the last beast seemed to go back further into the cave.
"Why is it running away?" I asked as they should be enraged and attacking us.
The octopus crab started to shake and split again into multiple beasts again but slower than the first time.
"Not again, we have to stop them now!" I shouted as I pointed the rifle trying to fire at it.
The bullets are hitting it but the clones it is making are taking the majority of the damage.
"If one of them is alive they will keep multiplying." I said as we continued to fire in three round bursts.
"Get... closer." Blood Stalk said as the beast is moving further into the cave.
"Got it." I said trusting there judgment and moving forward. I am not sure if they were being considerate by telling me or if they couldn't due it for some reason.
As we are moving closer to the beast in the cave the multiple limp tentacles are falling to the ground as we continue to shoot.
We are at the cades again and I see the last octopus crab eating the remains of the first beast we encountered and trying to multiply again.
I shoot it in the yellow orbs along with its head and the it falls down dead.
"That's four. Or like seven if we count the others it made in this cave." I said looking back at the cave filled with body parts and a smashed in tree back there somewhere.
A few drips of water hit our head and I instinctually look up and see more of them hiding in the ceiling. I can see in the dark very well with the yellow orbs are reflecting the light off my suit.
"Not... over." Blood Stalk said while pointing up with our left hand.
"Ah." I look up and the ceiling in shock and pressed the trigger on the rifle subconsciously at them.
They begin to fall on us and a few of them die while falling.
I see two still remained and one charged while the other spat at us with ink.
We dodged the ink and fired at the one charging at us and hit it in the head.
When I turned to look for the last one it disappeared.
"Where..." Blood Stalk began to asked before a tentacle started to wrap around our hole body.
"Let go." I said as it constricted around us and I couldn't get us free in time before it fully grabed us.
It slowly brought us to its face and started to open its beak like mouth before clamping our head with its claws.
Its claws scraped the helmet and made a horrible sound as the tentacles started to constrict.
as it was about to eat us we herd a noise.
"Ding." a microwave sound played and we got confused along with the creature which made it hesitate.
"BANG!" suddenly an explosion happened behind us which breaks us free from the monsters grasp and it recoils' in pain and fear.
White steam is appearing from our back which scares me because if something exploded back there it could damage our body or even kill us.
Blood Stalk reached back with our left hand to feel where the explosion happened to make sure we weren't bleeding and something falls into our hand.
When they bring it around for us to see I recognized it right away. It was a small blue bottle that had a rocket design molded into it.
"Is... this that... thing?" Blood Stalk asked as the beast was getting up.
"Put it in the rifle." I said quickly as the octopus crab was trying to multiply again. We take out the cobra bottle and put the new one in.
"Rocket!" the sound played and the gun had a red laser pointing out of the scope that appeared on the blade part of the rifle.
I aim the rifle at the still multiplying beast and pulled the trigger.
"Steam Attack! Rocket!" That was music to my ears as it fired three rockets that circled the monster and exploded, finally killing it with the black smoke as confirmation.
"Is that it, there are no more monsters right." I said still looking around not confident that all of them were dead.
"All... of these... are dead." Blood Stalk said in tired breath.
"Good, no more monsters." I said in relief as I drop to my knee's as it was over.
"At least we have plenty of food, before it spoiled." I said as I look back and the amount of sea life everywhere.
"One..." Blood Stalk replied as I was pulled from my thoughts.
"One? One what?" I asked as I didn't know what they were referring to.
"One... monster left."
