Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Lark Maxwell

Surprisingly, the usually quiet entrance to the Maxwell's Castle was even more bustling than it has ever been since Elon coming into this world. Not only was it bustling with maids that came to take a peek at the returned first son of the Grand Duke, but also occupied with assembled knights, who stood lined at the entrance with an expressionless face as they stared straight aligning their posture.

About ten meters away from the entrance ,a merchant caravan of more than a hundred soldiers with tens of armored knights riding on horses as they followed behind maintaining an orderly formation, appeared before before the eyes of the both knights and maids whose eyes either glinted with jealousy or proudness,as they stared at they incoming group…

…and Elon who arrived alongside Sir Remus was left speechless by the commotions,as this was his first time seeing such a large gathering in this world.

Slowly, as the galloping sound of horses receded; dressed in a no-collar athletic shoulders vest, with a brown formal tie stuck in between,a matching color of both vest, trousers and shoe, except for the distinction of white fabric that covered his arms, creating a sense of alignment with his stout physique. A tall body build and broad chest thatbrought forth a sense of intimidation, followed by the subtle aura of formality and strictness of a businessman…

'A business man?' Those were Elon's thoughts upon witnessing someone so formally dressed and outgrown of the local mentality of many nobles who thought robes were the highest sense of nobility and wealth.

Of Course, not doubting his memories or the platinum blonde short hair of the man before him,Elon had no doubt that this was his eldest brother, the first son of Grand-Duke Maxwell, Lark Maxwell.

Due to being the most active family at the kingdom's warfront , the Maxwell's were also the richest when it came to raw resources looted from battles. Unable to absorb it all the Blood Merchant Caravan was created, mainly to distribute and trade their excess reserve within the kingdom or to other allying kingdom for other specialities, it wasn't a surprise that Lark was given charge of such a fearsome caravan that strike fear into the hearts of every bandit …

His face emotionless as brick, back straight and upright ,with a principled temperament around him. Lark Maxwell stood with a hand stuck within his pocket,a usual habit of his,as he gazed at the crowd with scrutiny only to suddenly raise his brow in surprise, staring at Elon for a few extra seconds.

Meanwhile while everyone were either staring at his brother with pride or jealousy,Elon was engrossed in his own thoughts, summarizing all he knew about his oldest brother.

Unsurprisingly,Elon had a rather awkward relationship with his oldest brother, mainly due to the huge difference in age. In fact, the previous him was never present at his brother's arrival from whatever trip he took. Except from when he handed him his monthly allowance which was up to 300 gold coins, they rarely exchanged words.

Even though they both lived in the same castle while the rest of the Maxwells at the Kingdom's edge,to the maids in the castle they never seemed like brothers. In fact Elon held no resemblance to either of hid brothers.

Me explaining Elon's memory; memories are vague, sometimes we have to think in detail, while there are information that just pops up automatically Without a direct order.
