Before long, even before the tendrils of smoke could reach him, Aaron found himself under a relentless barrage of arrows originating from within the haze. Despite the enemies within the smokescreen being unable to see him clearly, it became obvious that they possessed alternative means of tracking his movements.
The precision and accuracy with which the arrows were directed toward him suggested that the enemy had employed some form of enhanced perception or surveillance. Whether through magical means or another method, they seemed to have a method of detecting Aaron's presence despite the concealment provided by the smoke.
Aaron was able to avoid them by sidestepping, but the enemies in the other direction began to fire their projectiles as well… Aaron couldn't dodge the attacks that he couldn't see, and that was a problem…
