After a couple of hours, things in the village got quiet. It was around midnight, but some guards were walking around and keeping the area relatively safe with their torches and spears. They seemed quite tense, and they weren't talking at all, so it looked like they heard a few things from the previous group, and they knew that trouble could be in the shadows around the village.
The sound of the wind hustling on the grass sometimes made them feel shivers, but when they pointed the torches in those directions, they didn't see anything. At the same time, they looked at each other with a look of understanding… during the day, they would have made fun of each other by acting like that, but their teamwork was strong when they were all that much fearful.
