Chereads / THE ALPHAS HUMAN BRIDE / Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

If the woman did not feel uncomfortable before, she did now and so did Patrick. Why couldn't Adnan mind his own business? he wondered meanwhile King Jamal and his security did everything within their power to not laugh out loud.

"That was uncalled for!" Patrick snapped. He hated that Adnan was tall and strong. If he wasn't, he would have beaten him up.

"Do well not to introduce your...." Adnan looked for a nicer way to say, prostitute, "escorts to me"

"I will have you know that I am not an escort," Sasha said through gritted teeth. She was not looking forward to being spoken to like that.

"I will have you know that what you have to say is of no importance to me" He responded and the woman could only glare at him.

"That's enough Adnan" King Jamal's voice said inside his nephew's head. They always spoke telepathically when something that didn't need to be heard by others had to be said.

"Oh come on Uncle, let me mess with the fat man some more"

"You keep messing with him any longer he might blow a fuse. I already have to deal with an incoming tantrum because of you"

"You'll be fine Uncle"

"And you didn't have to be so mean to the poor girl."

"She didn't have to be a fan of married men"

"Her life choices are none of your business Adnan. This is why you are yet to find a wife you know"

King Jamal placed his arm around Patrick's shoulder. "I apologize for my nephew's attitude. How about I make it up to the both of you?"

"You need to teach that boy some respect"

Boy? Adnan almost kicked the man for calling him that. King Jamal chuckled and snapped his fingers at his nephew. ''Get the wine from the bar back in my office Adnan"

"Yes uncle"

Adnan watched his uncle walk off with Patrick and Sasha. He hated the fat man so much. He hated most of his uncle's associates and he hated that he would have to work with these same people at some point. Sometimes he pitied his uncle; he had to smile and work with people that he usually would not but it was just business.

He exhaled and looked around for someone whom he could pass on his uncle's errand. There was no way that he was going to get wine for someone he couldn't even stand. He was a prince, not a server.

He let his eyes wander around the bubbly building and amid so many people was a young man who had just taken off his jacket to reveal the staff uniform underneath. Of course, he could send the server to get the drink and serve his uncle's infuriating guests instead.

He and the remainder of the security detail that remained with him began to walk in the direction of the server and when Adnan felt he was close enough to achieve physical contact he tapped the man's shoulder.

The server turned around and looked up at him. Not with the awe and wonder that Adnan had gotten so used to but with absolutely no emotion. The man looked a little rough but still handsome in his own right and had eyes that appeared to be either dead or lusting after death.

There was something detached about this server and Adnan hated it. He hated it because his father used to have that same look. He unconsciously frowned at the young man and spoke haughtily.

"Hey, you. Go with my men and get a drink from my uncle's office"
