"What do you mean by dividing our group?" Max asked, trying to keep up with the conversation.
Illore looked at him, a glint of curiosity in his eyes.
"We need to split up to ensure we can reach the Magic Core safely. Some of you will take the door, others will continue down the hallways, and the rest will climb back up and try to find that fucker above."
Max felt like Illore truly was only a warrior/mage, not a single hint of lust was in his gaze in comparison to the other elf males he met until now, just like Dreyer.
All others nodded, and suddenly half of the remaining group (including Akane and Ryka) left, turning down the corridor on the right, while the rest (Illore, Olive, Reyna and some other guards) stayed there.
"Alright, let's go," Illore said, turning to face the ornate door.
