As Max woke up the next morning, he realized that he had slept for longer than usual, as the sun was already high in the sky, the result of fighting yesterday and not taking a single break.
He yawned and stretched his arms, feeling refreshed after sleeping for so long, and looked outside the window, the view of the city was beautiful.
For that brief instant, he almost forgot that he had killed two people yesterday to complete his assassination quest, and that he had unlocked a new skill as well as had gotten stronger thanks to the flawless achievement.
But of course, soon enough he remembered everything and sighed, his past wouldn't be able to leave him anymore, but Max didn't care, after all, he didn't consider it as 'haunting' as he planned everything he did and meant to do it, he wouldn't change the way he did it either.
