Max's legs were almost burning, he was running at intense speed toward Greyburk in the hope of catching up to Sandor.
He only had his dagger as a weapon, but he would surely figure out a way to defeat the vampire once he was there, no matter what it took.
Unfortunately, though, Sandor was just as fast, meaning he still had an advantage if he kept going.
After less than an hour of speeding through the plains, the first to reach the kingdom was the dark vampire.
He had acquired many abilities thanks to his transformation, and one of them was to allow himself to transform into a bat (normal ones can't do that).
His goal was to cause havoc, but he would need to do it from the inside as starting murdering everybody would alert many adventurers, and there was a chance the heroes would be able to stop him if they were prepared.
