"Gather up!"
Leo woke up to the tune of the loud shouting coming from the outside.
"Form up!"
'What the hell…'
Startled by the noises, Leo dragged himself off the bed, unable to recall the precise moment when he fell asleep.
'Well, I guess I'm a little bit more tired than I thought I was,' he thought, dragging his feet over the edge of the bed before standing up and carefully approaching the window while making sure never to appear fully within its frame.
Upon reaching the wall, Leo pressed himself against it before using just the tip of his fingers to push the wooden shuts open.
"Faster! My mother and her friends could form a line faster than that!"
'Oh god…'
Leo slid down the wall, taking in deep breaths to calm himself down.
Not even the great progress that the young man made over the last few days allowed him to fully put his experience from the previous rift world behind him.
