Daisy thought of what other ways she could try to make Carissa believe her.
"Why won't she listen to me?" Daisy muttered to herself, pacing back and forth. "She's never dismissed anything I've said before. Why is this different?"
She got out of the supermarket and sat down on a nearby bench, running a hand through her hair.
"Think, Daisy, think. There has to be another way. Maybe I can get proof, something undeniable that will make her see the truth."
Daisy resolved to dig deeper into David's past, hoping to find evidence that would expose his true intentions. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to save her friend from heartbreak.
Meanwhile, Carissa dropped her phone and went through the other contents of the diary which David had filled about her.
A part of her felt remorseful for hanging up at Daisy like that but she couldn't care much at the moment.
