David found himself at a loss for words, his gaze fixed on her with a magnetic pull he couldn't explain. Instinctively, she drew closer and embraced him, expressing gratitude for his return. "Thank you for showing up again," she said, her voice soft with sincerity.
"We'll definitely meet again," David assured her, a genuine smile playing on his lips.
"Because you're a good man," Angelina added with a smile.
"Thank you," David replied sincerely. "I'm looking forward to it."
With a gentle goodbye, Angelina returned to her friends, leaving David in awe of her charm. He stood up and as he turned to leave, he nearly collided with Daisy, who was on her way to bring Angelina some water. Surprise flickered across Daisy's features as she spotted him.
Recognizing Daisy, David mentioned her name. "Hello, Daisy."
"It's been a while," Daisy replied flatly.
David nodded, then asked, "What brings you to the playground?"
