As Carissa stormed into her room, her anger boiling over, she grabbed a pillow and hurled it towards the door in frustration, narrowly missing her father as he walked in.
"Carissa, please, let us talk," her father implored, his voice filled with concern.
But Carissa was not in the mood for conversation. Ignoring her father's attempts to calm her down, she grabbed another pillow and flung it towards the door, nearly hitting her mother who had appeared in the doorway.
Joyce was taken aback by her daughter's outburst, her surprise quickly turning into disapproval. "Carissa, what on earth is going on?" she scolded, her voice tinged with disappointment.
But Carissa refused to acknowledge her mother's presence, her frustration reaching its peak. "Just leave me alone," she snapped, her tone sharp and dismissive.
