Harry growled before he took a deep breath as he closed his eyes, a few seconds later the wind and the magic in the room died down. The judges and Professor's looked relieved while the three champions looked worried, they felt Harry's magic and realised that that is what they have to compete with.
"You can expect to hear from my lawyer, Bagman." Harry told the man who was shaking in his boots. Harry turned to Professor Dumbledore. "Professor, is it possible for you to write a letter to my family that explains the situation. I don't really think either of us want the Tonks's, Sirius and Lord Black to storm into the castle."
"Yes," Dumbledore nodded, he most definitely did not want that. "I will do so when I return to my office."
"And when you send it can you please send this with it?" Harry asked before he handed Dumbledore a note that he had pulled out.
"This just says 'It's not my fault' and is signed with your name." Dumbledore pointed out.
"I know, I've been keeping it in my pocket all year in case I needed it." Harry shrugged.
"...okay." Dumbledore nodded before he began speaking to all of the champions. "For now it seems like Mr Potter will be competing, we will look through the rules to see if there is any way to get him out of this, but until then he is a Tri-Wizard champion. The first task will be a test of your daring, your bravery and your ability to think on the spot. Which is why the first task will be a surprise, you will not receive any help from any professors. The task will take place on November the twenty-fourth, you will all receive your instructions an hour before the task. Good luck, champions."
"Um...just a sec, Professor." Harry spoke. "Who would I be representing?" Harry asked, his Slytherin brain returning back to full strength once he was able to put his anger in the back seat.
"You're a Hogwarts student, Potter." Professor Snape sneered. "Can't believe you forgot that."
"I have not forgot, Professor." Harry said with a roll of his eyes. "But you surely haven't missed the fact that there are two Hogwarts champions. It would not be fair to have two champions for one school and only one champion for the other schools." Harry said, the two heads of the foreign schools were still not happy about Harry being in the tournament but they did agree with that last part.
"The boy is right," Madam Maxime agreed. "it's hardly fair for Hogwarts to have two champions."
"Agreed." Karkaroff nodded.
"Then what do you suggest?" Professor McGonagall asked.
"How about I represent my family house instead?" Harry suggested. "We're already breaking tradition by having four champions, why not break one more part of the Tri-Wizard tradition and have a family represented instead of a school? Think about it : 'Hogwarts, Durmstrang, Beauxbaton and House Potter-Black'. I personally like it."
"You would." Snape said under his breath.
"Now, Mr Potter, perhaps you could represent the Ministry in..."
"Hell no," Harry cut Fudge off before he could finish, Harry turned to Dumbledore. "how about it?" He asked.
"Hmm, if that would happen then we would need a judge for your house." Dumbledore frowned as he took the rule book and began reading through it to see if there was a rule against it.
"But then his judge would vote in his favour!" Madam Maxime protested.
"It could be argued that you would do the same for your school." Angela replied.
"She's right, and if everyone did that then winner would definitely be British seeing as there are three British people voting." Harry pointed out. "Before the first task perhaps you all could take magical vows or sign magical contracts to make sure that you all judge fairly." Harry suggested.
"A good idea, Mr Potter." Dumbledore smiled at him before returning his attention back to the book. "I will double check later once I have time to read the book in full but I'm fairly sure that we can allow Mr Potter to compete separately from Hogwarts."
"Great, I think I'll have Lord Black be my representative." Harry smirked at Ludo, all those who didn't know who Lord Black was were a bit confused by the look that Harry was giving Ludo, while all those who did were looking at Ludo as if he was a dead man walking.
Later when Harry was walking out of the side chamber with the other champions, he stopped at the front of the hall, everyone looked towards him.
"Hey guys, just need to say a quick few things." Harry spoke, everyone was looking towards him and giving him their full attention. "Firstly I've just found out that if I don't compete then it's possible I will lose my magic," Harry said, many openly gasped at that but Harry quickly continued before anyone could interrupt. "now obviously I don't want that so I'm going to compete. But I'm not going to be representing Hogwarts, Cedric Diggory was and is the rightful champion of Hogwarts. I will be representing myself and my family...which in a way is sort of representing Hogwarts when you think about it but that's not important. Anyway, long story short, I've not entered myself but I am competing and please support Mr Diggory and the other two champions, thank you." Harry said before he and Angela walked towards their seats, walking past three stunned champions.
