"They were treated well, Young Master," Lu Xan replied. "A group of Physicians has gone to check on their families and ensure their safety."
Lu Sheng nodded but added firmly, "Make sure you keep an eye on the situation. I don't want any injustice to fall upon them."
Lu Xan furrowed his brow for a moment, hearing the strange undertone in Lu Sheng's words. It almost sounded as if the Young Master was going away somewhere. Still, he brushed the thought aside, focusing instead on the task at hand. "Yes, Young Master. I will ensure everything remains under control."
Satisfied with the response, Lu Sheng quickened his pace. Within a few moments, they reached the Clan Manager's seat. Lu Man, who had been resting under the wooden beam of the veranda, remained undisturbed as Lu Sheng signaled for silence.
