Lu Qing was unsure how to follow this line of thought or respond. Lu Sheng's indifference toward the clan disappointed him, but he couldn't say or do anything against his master's wishes.
"We will stay here," Lu Sheng declared suddenly, "uncover the scheme against our clan and return with proof. With one fell swoop, we will cleanse the entire clan."
Hearing a hint of concern return, Lu Qing felt his disappointment easing.
"May I suggest something?" Lu Qing quickly interjected, eager to express himself before Lu Sheng could make any further declarations.
"No, it's decided. I am not leaving."
