"We should be careful," Mara warned as they ascended the ridge. "The White Flame Sect doesn't take kindly to uninvited guests, especially ones involved in Void-related matters."
Wei Lin nodded, her hand instinctively resting on the hilt of her sword. "I'll handle the introductions."
Darian chuckled, his tone dry. "I'm sure they'll love us."
As they crested the ridge, the temple came into view. Nestled against the side of a cliff, the White Flame Sect's sanctuary stood tall, its pale stone walls glinting faintly in the dim sunlight. Towering pillars supported the structure, and a thin layer of mist clung to the edges of the surrounding forest, giving the temple an ethereal, otherworldly appearance.
"Peaceful place," Selene muttered, her eyes taking in the sight. "But looks can be deceiving."
Wei Lin took a deep breath, steeling herself. "Let's hope they're willing to listen."
