"Just keep it distracted!" Wei Lin shouted back. "We need to buy Mara time to reinforce the shield!"
The battle raged on, the courtyard filled with the sound of clashing steel, roaring magic, and the ever-present hum of dark energy. The creature's power was overwhelming, but Wei Lin and her companions fought with every ounce of strength they had left, refusing to give in to the growing despair.
