As if in response to her words, the air around them grew thick with tension. The path ahead seemed to darken, and the once clear sky began to cloud over, the wind carrying with it a strange, unsettling energy.
Suddenly, without warning, a figure stepped out from behind a boulder, blocking their path. Clad in tattered robes, with eyes that glowed with an unnatural light, the figure's presence exuded a malevolent energy that made the hair on the back of Wei Lin's neck stand up.
"Who are you?" Wei Lin demanded, her voice steady despite the threat she could feel emanating from the stranger.
The figure tilted its head, a slow, deliberate movement that seemed almost inhuman. When it spoke, its voice was a low, rasping whisper that sent a chill through the air. "You tread where you do not belong. The Void is not a place for mortals to meddle. Turn back, or be consumed by the darkness you seek to challenge."
