Lu Sheng's face twitched. "Lu Qing, I had high hopes for you, but this… this is disappointing," he said, rubbing his temples. His voice carried a hint of mockery. "Look at you! You're tall, muscular, and healthy. No one would believe you're a desperate laborer in need of work. Meanwhile, I'm fat, plump, and look like a spoiled merchant's son. Do you really think anyone's going to buy that we're some poor workers?" His eyes narrowed, genuinely questioning the logic behind this.
Lu Qing, however, didn't flinch. "Young Master, I calculated that already," he said, a confident smile on his face. "Our disguise isn't meant to hide ourselves."
"Huh?" Lu Sheng blinked, caught off guard.
"It's not about hiding, Young Master. It's about giving the false perception that we *are* from an esteemed clan… but that we're on the run. Just like everyone else in the Broken Spiritlands, trying to stay out of sight," Lu Qing explained, clearly satisfied with his reasoning.
