The impersonator was happy to see Valerie in deep thought as the latter finally said, "If you give me the four-year-old to return to her mother, I might spare your life."
"Might?" the blonde woman asked. "That is not convincing enough. I took her from her mother to help me get the man I love."
Valerie pretended not to care about that part of the story. From the beginning, she made everything seem as though she was an enemy of Aurora and had to keep it that way until she got Lindsay's daughter.
"Okay. Give me the girl, and I will let you go as long as you don't hurt anyone close to me."
Valerie had gotten herself out of the web by that statement, but the blonde woman could not think of anyone she had hurt who was close to this woman.
As far as she knew, Aurora was this woman's enemy, and she did not have any relationship with Alessia or Lindsay.
